“nice moderately priced hotel located ...”
across from the state capitol. staff was friendly & helpful.
“LOVE THIS HOTEL!!!!”
The Commonwealth Park Suites is the best place to stay while in Richmond, VA.
“Loved it!”
The hotel was roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was great. Great location- we could walk to all the excellent restaurants downtown, and then tour the capital grounds next door.
“Led to a WONDERFUL weekend.....”
VERY NICE!!! Magnificent room! Extremely close to everything you could need. Staff is SUPER friendly. Also, you only pay $12 a day for them to valet your car back and forth; most hotels charge you $10 a day to park in some scary garage across the street--not this place! The Valet service was the BEST thing ever.
“"An Epic Adventure of Richmond, Virginia"”
I will definitly recommend this to others and would definitly stay there again!
“Wonderful Experience!”
The hotel staff was friendly enough, though I didn't interact with them much. The room was clean and cool and the cooling system worked efficiently--something I was initially concerned about. The hotel doesn't have room service but the Wi-Fi is nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean, the room was modernly furnished and everything worked well. I read some dissatisfied comments regarding the shower water not being hot enough, but that was not the case at all for me. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast fare in the cafe, it was typical pre-packaged foods and run-of-the-mill hotel coffee, but it wasn't horrible. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely go there again.
“Excellent boutique suite property”
If you're looking for a boutique (not cookie-cutter) hotel, with lots of room, in a great downtown location, with a great breakfast, this is an excellent choice.
“Surprisingly Very Nice”
This was a last minute purchase and I really expected to be significantly off the beat and path. Surprisingly, it was right down town and the rooms are immaculate. The view outside the window wasn't the greatest but the suite itself was huge...and had a bidet in the bathroom. Parking was valet and you pretty much have to use it since the parking in the area was limited. Overall, it was a great room for the price.
“Nice rooms, friendly staff”
I loved this hotel. The "room" was actually more of a suite, with a bedroom, bath and living room area. The bed was very comfortable with good linens. The staff could not have been nicer. It's an older hotel, so the elevators were small and the room had little chips here and there, but really, who cares? I felt very safe there, even though the neighborhood was a little dodgy. We were within walking distance of the restaurant area and had a great night's stay. I would definitely recommend this place.
“Really unique hotel”
We stayed here twice in the last couple of months and really thought it was nice. The rooms are very large and clean. The hotel is in a nice area, within walking distance to some good restaurants. The staff was very friendly both times. The elevators are EXTREMELY small, three people max, but not really a big deal!
