Comfortable room in a Peaceful area
Clean and confortable room in a peaceful area. The hotel is in a residential area just outside of the main city. It’s really quiet so I got a great night’s sleep. That also means there are very few restaurants, cafes or pubs around. One important detail, my room (maybe all rooms?) was in a building a few streets away from the reception desk! There is a self check-in option with a machine, but checkout was only possible at the other building. Staff is very friendly!

New Heidelberg
It was strange that the reception desk was in a separate building two blocks away, but after checking in we found the room to be very clean, quiet, and comfortable.I especially liked the balcony.

Please have realistic expectations if you book an accomodation at the price of a stay in the youth hostel during main season.

No wireless internet in the room
Very nice Hotel, but located away from the city center and there was no free Wifi, which is a big deal when you are traveling and need to book flights, hotels and such. Couldn't believe that a modern hotel does not offer this essential service, for that reason alone i wouldn't stay there ever again.

Thank you for your feedback. Of course we offer wireless Internet in all areas! Our hotel was the first hotel in Heidelberg which offered Wi-Fi at all. (Can be prooven with an old article from the local newspaper!)

Bad Experience : Lost 79 Euros + Humiliations !!
I got to this hotel and paid 3 days stay in advance . I stayed one night and I got an emergency and notified them that I will need to check out after the second day and asked for the money return for the third day : 79 Euros . THE LADY AT THE COUNTER SAID : IT IS EXPEDIA DECISION AND I HAVE TO NOTIFY EXPEDIA DIRECTLY . I CALLED EXPEDIA AND THEY SAID THEY WILL APROVE IT AND IT MAY TAKE FROM SOME DAYS TO ONE WEEK . NEXT DAY AT 8 AM I MADE THE CHECK OUT AND ASKED IF THEY GOT THE NOTIFICATION FROM EXPEDIA . THE LADY SAID THAT THE MANAGER DID NOT SHOW UP AND SHE HAD NO NEWS . I GOT MY BREAKFAST AND WENT BACK TO ASK WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE ISSUE. THAT IS WHEN I GOT THE : " Very obnoxious and arrogant attitude of the manager of that facility " denying any return with a humiliating way . I lost 79 Euros . Sorry but if you made your booking via Expedia then only Expedia can change your booking - if the booking terms allow. Especially if there is a minimum stay during the period you booked, then you cannot simply check-out earlier as you like. Make only serious bookings.

I requested a single room, non-smoker and got a cigarette smelling room! When I demanded another room I was told there were no other single rooms only standard room which they demanded 20 Euro for an upgrade! The standard room really was "smell free" and a very nice room but I didn't like that I had to pay the extra fee.

Thank you for your feedback. We have only non-smoking rooms, but a smoker will always smell for smoke even if he is not smoking in the room directly. Some people can smell if a smoker has stayed in the room before, but your room was surely not smelling for smoke really, because then we would have given you another room for free. If you are very sensitive you better book one of our air-conditioned rooms where the air in the room is replaced 2 times an hour. The cheapest room is not always the right decision.

We had a nice stay here. It was in July and the weather was warm but there was a fan in the room. The internet prices are ridiculous and it was the first hotel on our 5 week Europe trip not to offer free wifi. It was about a 15-20 minute tram ride into the city. We could buy tickets for the tram at the front desk.

Basic hotel to stay in Heidelberg
Hotel is in the suburbs of Heidelberg, but center is easy reachable by tram in 15 minutes from a station nearby. Rooms are basic, small and need some renovation. Cleaning and service are OK.

Lovely hotel near Heidelberg
Cute little hotel with very very very comfortable beds. Restaurant downstairs was lovely too. Nice hotel with lovely staffs in a quite little neighborhood. Definitely recommend!

One day visit on a tour of Germany
Very nice refurbished hotel easy to reach from Autobahn. Two minutes walk from Tram stop for easy access to city centre. Situated in quiet street.

Great night's sleep, take tram to tourist area.
Far from the city center, but very close to bus and tram stations for a short ride to/from the city center and train station. Cordial desk staff. Large, clean, modern room with a balcony overlooking the car park and apartments on the next street. Many in-room amenities (toiletries, plentiful tv stations, huge shower, luggage storage, towel warmer, etc.), but free wifi isn't one of them. Hand-washed clothes dry quickly on that towel warmer. Absolutely delicious food in the restaurant! Seasonal specialties (like the pumpkin, feta, and chanterelle pizza) were enjoyed for dinner one evening, though we didn't try any breakfast there; a bakery is walking distance down the street. From the Hbf, it's a positively straight-line walk (due north) through buildings and parking lots to the Betriebshof stop where you can pick up the 22 to the Kranichsweg stop, and then only a 100-meter walk to the hotel. Hotel neighborhood is mostly residential and very quiet. Good place to stay if you want to avoid the tourist-ridden city center.

Leiser war alles etwas lieblos, der Check in, die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant desinteressiert, das Zimmer noch ungeheizt, mit fusskaltem Boden, lieblos eingerichtet, zwar sauber, aber kein Glas, kein Wasserkocher, kein Bild an der Wand etc. Die Bettdecke war sommerlich dünn, das dürfte nicht sein

Die Unterkunft war im allgemeinen ziemlich schön gewesen, auch die Lage war optimal, da neben den Apartments Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren. Was störend war, dass die Mitarbeiterin beim Check-In etwas unfreundlich gewesen ist, als ich nach der Check-Out Zeit fragte, da laut meiner Buchungsbestätigung bis 13 Uhr stand. Sie glaubte mir leider nicht und nachdem ich ihr die Email zeigte, musste Sie erstmal auf die Webseite von Expedia um sich selbst zu vergewissern und sagte nur, dass das nicht gehen würde, da man ja das Zimmer für den nächsten Tag nicht aufbereiten könnte. Was ich leider nicht verstehen kann, da man vor 16 Uhr nicht einchecken darf und kein Hotel benötigt von 11-16 Uhr Zeit für die Reinigung. Leider kam sie uns auch nicht entgegen, im Endeffekt kann ich nichts für, wenn ich bis 13 Uhr aus checken darf laut Buchungsbestätigung, dann müsste man wenigstens die Check-In Zeiten ändern, damit der Kunde was vom bezahlten Zimmer hat, wenn man schon um 11 Uhr aus checken muss. Darüber hinaus, gefiel mir das Badezimmer nicht, da die Lüftung nicht funktioniert hat und es ziemlich modrig gerochen hat.

Danke für Ihr Feedback. Bei der Angabe der Check-In-Zeit handelt es sich um einen Fehler Ihres Reisebüros. Wir können nicht garantieren, dass die Zimmer um 13:00 bereits bezugsfertig sind und haben auch keine derartigen Angaben gemacht. Hotelzimmer dienen vorwiegend der Übernachtung. Es ist auf der ganzen Welt selbstverständlich, dass es eine Spanne von mehreren Stunden zwischen Check-Out-Zeit und Check-In-Zeit geben muss, denn kein Hotel hat so viel Personal, dass man alle freiwerdenden Zimmer immer sofort reinigen könnte.

Putzenhilfe kommt einfach so rein... ist sehr unangenehm da man bei ein Mal klopfen nicht sofort was sagen kann oder sich schnell um ziehen kann. Sollte nicht passieren das sie einfach reinplatzt ins Zimmer. Sehr unangenehm. Sauberkeit in Ordnung.

Fantastiskt fint
Otroligt rent och fräscht, luktade gott på rummet, som också var mycket rymligt. Dusch och toalett jättefint. Frukosten var inte bara god utan fin för ögat också, jättefräscht och mycket att välja på. Man kunde även ta med en liten crossiant i en påse till resan. Recensionen gäller guesthouset, vet inte hur apartmenten ser ut.
