“Easily the best value hotel in Reykjavik”
Fantastic Hotel with a great location, less than 5 mins from the main streets but not as noisy as the hotels on the main street! Hotel has a fantastic breakfast buffet and an amazing panoramic view of the harbour and city. Helpfull staff and hotel is on the list for trip pick ups making it an easy hassle free stay

wonderful hotel. you are right in the middle of everything. very nice rooms. they are on the small side, but all of the hotels are. breakfast was nice, cereal ,waffles, meats and cheeses,breads and pastries. you do not need a car ,we walked everywhere. we would stay here again.

The hotel was really well placed for us - close enough to the action but far enough away to avoid hearing the weekend revellers. Great buffet breakfast, laid back attitude, friendly staff and comfortable beds. What more could you want!
“Good Choice”
I took my wife to Reykjavik as a present - she had always wanted to go - and so wanted everything to be right. I spent a long time looking at hotel reviews and I am very glad I picked the Arnarhvoll. Having seen a variety of the hotels in the area I suspect this one offers the best views in the city; situated right on the harbour and looking across to the snow-capped mountains. The location is ideal for seeing the city. Everything you could want is within a short walk of the front door and the main shopping street crosses the top of the road outside. There was plenty of choice at the complimentary buffet style breakfast which is on the top floor (again - amazing, beautiful view) and you can really fill up for the day (food is not that cheap in Iceland). Make sure you pay the extra for the spa - it is worth the small outlay - and be aware that they may not mention it at the front desk when you check in (this happened to us) so ask! Other than this the staff were friendly and helpful and will assist with booking day trips etc. The rooms are not huge and the tea making facilities were poor but these were minor quibbles. I would definitely go back.

“Superb!”
When booking this trip to Reykjavik we were looking for a hotel that was well situated, modern with good amenities and good value. We looked at several different reviews websites including TripAdvisor before we made our choice and were not disappointed. Reykjavik is not a big city and the Arnarhvoll is only a very short walk (2 mins) from the city centre. The hotel is situated near the harbour and only a very brief walk from the coastline and the Solfar viking ship sculpture. The breakfast included in the price was served in a buffet style on the top floor, which looked out from the coastline of Reykjavik. There was a large selection of food and drink, both hot and cold and definitely something there for everyone. The room was clean, comfortable and the underfloor heating was brilliant. The bed especially was extremely comfortable! In addition to what was expected, upon arrival we were told about the "wellness" area located in the basement. For a very small charge we had full use for the entire week. This included a steam room, sauna and hot tub and was extremely relaxing at the end of a long day. Pros- Friendly, helpful staff Clean, comfortable room Excellent location Great breakfast and stunning views from the top floor restaurant "Wellness" area was an unexpected bonus Cons- None The Arnarhvoll comes highly recommended, an excellent hotel with great facilities in a great location.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was very close to all central sights and shopping with beautiful views of the harbour. The street it is located on is very quiet at night. Also, the breakfast buffet was excellent. I got addicted to the dark rye bread.
“Beyond Expectations”
Great location: close enough to the main street downtown but just far enough away from the noise. Price point was amazing. Honored special requests, no questions asked.
