needs attention to detail

Posted 29-Oct-2014
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: It needs a better in house restaurant although those at the El Dorado are good & it is attached.
Location: The Reno strip is what it is. There was a fatal stabbing the night before I checked out.
The room was clean but common areas could go days at a time without vacuuming. I stayed for 2 weeks so you notice those things. Staff was very helpful. Their Internet service is still far from adequate. Staff did comp me for the cost of the upgraded service when I had a problem after having paid for that upgrade but I would expect a usable free service and a truly exceptional upgraded service. The SL has neither. Granted I was traveling on business and therefore actually cared about it.

Service with a smile

One night stay was great. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There are many extras that make this hotel a great place to stay. Beautiful spa, nice sized rooms, many restaurant choices (including 24 hour ones), and very close to the Event Center. Only negative - clean up was needed in the hall, which either wasn't reported or staff ignored.

The bed was too soft for my liking. Otherwise it's a great hotel.

An ok hotel for the price

Posted 17-Oct-2014
Pros: I liked the convience of the location.
Cons: Housekeeping could be more thorough. Lightbulbs should be checked as well. Fix the bathroom lightswitch connectivity issues.
It is conviently located and attached to two neighboring hotels. I was visiting for a conference for work as I do every year. I wouldn't call my Luxury King "luxury" but it was decent enough to stay in for two nights. There was splatter marks on the mirror in the room (this is the second year my mirror has had splatter marks) and the light bulb to one of the lamps was broken. The bathroom light was finiky and if you didn't turn it on right, it would turn off. The linens and bed were clean. The bathroom was clean over all but I noticed all the small spots the housekeepers missed. I will say their catering is much better than other conventions I attend and their staff is always friendly.

Long Italian Weekend

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Pros: Centralized location for festivals
Location: Good enough for sleeping. Lots of restaurants nearby.
It was perfectly adequate. Not stunning but not bad. They gave us the wrong room at first(two queens) but were accommodating with a room change. Nice folks overall.
