Nice room features for a low off-season rate

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Pros: In addition to items previously mentioned, the staff was very friendly.
Location: The hotel is right on coastal Route 1 in Dewey Beach, DE so it is only one block from the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby and swimming beach.
Stayed here 2 nights on a weekend in January. The room was very clean and the 2 queen beds comfortable. Nice TV, mini-fridge and microwave were handy. Nothing special about the room, but it was good and for a great, low rate in late January.

One night stay for us on our way home from 10 days travelling north from Fl. We were looking for a beach hotel. One block either way from the water it's location was excellent.proximity to Rehoboth Beach's attractions a big plus. Most of staff encountered was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was sufficient.

High Quality Hotel.

Pros: Polite hardworking staff. Nice comfy bed.
Cons: The Breakfast Food could be better. It was all fattening food. How about some Fruit, eggs, or non-sugary oats.
Location: Rehoboth, Beach, Dewey, stores...
This is a great hotel for the price. Everything was clean and comfortable. Good Staff. I had a very comfortable stay. Usually I can't sleep well at hotels, but at this one I slept like a baby.

A lovely surprise

Posted 27-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
After I booked this hotel, my husband read some marginal reviews. It was too late to cancel, so we went ahead and were very pleased. The location in the center of Dewey Beach is unbeatable with the beach just a few steps away. Our room was large, pleasant, very clean, and had a view of the bay. Breakfast was pretty typical - rolls, bagels, coffee, just, etc. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We would definitely stay there again.

I last stayed here about 4 years ago and the hotel was a bit drab then. I was VERY plesently surprised on this visit. All the rooms and bathrooms had been remodeled, updated and looked fantastic! The free breakfast was expanded to not just cereal and toast but yogurts, waffles and juices. The location is great because it is so close to the beach and so many places to eat in Dewey without having to drive at all. Clean, attractive rooms, friendly staff, substantial free breakfast. I am glad that my favorite place to stay in Dewey is now so much more pleasant to stay in.

Great location, but not the best hotel

Posted 13-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Great location, but hotel was older and a bit musty smelling. I would rate it only a little above a motel. The beds were comfortable, sheets were nice, but bathroom was cheap and dated. If you're looking for decent price, this is the place. My friends and I will be going to the Hyatt next year. Only a few more dollars and rooms are much nicer.

Hard Beds

Posted 6-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
The room was very clean and sand free. However, we could not sleep thru the nite because of the beds - very hard. Sure is ok for someone who prefers that type. Did see there is now a Hyatt's Place across the street. Have stay in them many time and have always been extremely clean with extreme comfortable beds. Would not stay in the Best Westen again because of the beds - UP ALL NITE.
