“Would be very happy to use this hotel again”
Staff friendly and helpful, facilities such as guest laundry available, meals in both the bar and the restaurant excellent. Hotel in town centre with shopping and large city park with lake in easy walking distance plus several nearby restaurants.
“Would stay there again”
Good downtown location, close to restaurants and pharmacy. Close to the airport. Great service from the desk personnel. No baggage assistance, though.
“Regina”
The hotel was fine and we needed a hotel that allowed smoking for one of our travelers. Many of the Regina hotels closer to the airport do not have smoking rooms. If you need a smoking room and are flying in, this is a good choice. It's downtown, but not all that far from the airport.
“Just Fine”
We were in town for a football game and the hotel was just fine. It is about a ten minute walk to the stadium. Room was clean and warm.
“Last resort turned out okay”
The cot that I requested barely fit in the room. We had to move the chair, table and the TV stand over just to make it fit and still had to crawl onto the cot bed to get to the bathroom . The bathroom set up was funny. The sink was outside of the bathroom and the bathroom itself was tiny but manageable. Overall, it was squishy, however, because of the busy weekend in Regina and lack of rooms left in hotels, it just what we had to deal with...and for being the last pick of the draw, it was very clean and manageable. If you're looking for a clean but afforadable place just to rest your head- this would be a fine pick. No continental breakfast and it's nothing fancy ( which, didn't matter to us), the staff were VERY pleasant. I received a free parking pass as well but couldn't use it as the parking lot was always full so I had to park on Osler street which made me worry about my car a little bit but it was fine. Bed mattresses were quite hard...pillows were great.
“Pleasant stay”
I was very pleased with the room overall, it could have been larger, but was very adequate, clean, and pleasant. The front desk staff were couteous and helpful, very pleasant to deal with. Parking is very handy and the location of the hotel is very good for me.
“Decent rooms but poor front desk service”
Booked this room through Expedia and was pleased that we were able to cancel with a full refund if necessary up to the day of our stay. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Did not have a fridge in the room. Front desk staff, while not rude, were not friendly or helpful at all. We were looking for bottled water, and all the vending machines on every floor in the hotel were sold out. When asked if they had any more, the only response was, 'Well I got one out of the machine on the second floor a half hour ago'. No offer to replenish the machines or even directions to the nearest store that might have some. Only took this room because it was near our Car rental location for the rest of our trip after flying in that night.
“Better than expected”
This hotel was much better than I had expected it to be, I would stay there again. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean. The hotel was completely booked, but I could tell, the hotel was quiet. When I checked in the first night, the front desk girl was a little rude but the next night, the staff member was excellent. There is a resturant in the hotel, which I didn't try, but the cars for the resturant take all the parking for the hotel, so I had to park across the street, that was a little disappointing. Overall, a good experience.
“would stay again”
The only thing we were disatisfied with was that we had been made aware that the restraunt was going to be closed all day on the 24th & 25th and only open for the evening meal on the 26th. So if you are travelling for holidays you may want to check on that first. This is one of the reasons we booked there as it had full restraunt facilities.
“Fine for a one night stay.”
This hotel was fine for our one night stay. I would not want to stay alone in this downtown hotel as the parking was dark and the area seemed a bit rough. In fact, my husband wouldn't let me go into the lobby alone and made me stay in the hotel while he parked. Some little things that I didn't like was that there were disposable glasses for coffee. I prefer glass mugs. The staff member that assisted us when we arrived after midnight was very pleasant and accommodating. Also, I noticed a security guard monitoring the premises so I felt a little safer than when I first arrived.
