“Just what i needed :)”
Room was clean , bed comfy , and service at front desk courteous and polite. Pool was small and too open to front lobby. Zahirs Lounge had decent appetiser food and had the ufc on screen free so we were happy. Close to smittys that also has great food! Would stay there again :)
“Great Customer Service!”
We had a awesome stay - in our original room there was no hot water for some reason, but the staff switched our rooms very qquickly and pleasantly and made it a point to be certain we were comfortable and happy in our room. Awesome customer service. Thankyou so much!
“low end mostly run down hotel”
low end mostly run down hotel - imagine using a name like Chateau. Overall, it was okay but it did have that low end ichy feel to it. On the positive side the bed was very comfortable and the there was a pretty big flat panel Panasonic TV.
“Comfortable”
Pleasant experience. Not the ritz, but sufficient.
“Good accommodations for reasonable price”
From what I can gather this hotel was under different ownership and when the current owners took over it was very much a "fixer upper". They have put a lot of effort into upgrading every aspect of the hotel. While it is a work in progress, I was very pleased with the rooms (which matched the pics posted by the hotel perfectly), a good location close to malls, and restaurants, and reasonable price. On a specific note I slept like a rock and was not disturbed from any noise in the hallway.
“Not Impressed!!”
I booked this hotel knowing it wasn't a 5* but figured based on other reviews most people found the hotel service the worst and that didn't really bother me. It was a short stay so I didn't really care. The hotel staff was unpleasant and really didn't know much when I asked them a couple of questions and more of less seemed as if I were a nuisance to them. The hotel itself was clean, same with our room although the room was small the bed was extremely comfortable! I give this a low rating and would not return as you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on. There was a fight between a group of people right outside of our room and kept us up all night. It was very unpleasant when I had to be at the airport by 5am. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Please don't go”
The hotel is deceiving. The pictures you see on the website is not what you end up getting. The rooms are really tight and they make everything sound better than they look.
“Spend your money elsewhere”
My wife and I were terribly unimpressed with this hotel. The employees working at the desk during check-in were neither helpful nor friendly, and they were not at all apologetic when our key cards repeatedly failed to work in our door. Three trips up and down the stairs in a 3 minute span to have the cards re-magnetized, and a dumbfounded look from the employee when we asked if we could have different cards issued to us. The room itself was small and crowded (even for two people)...the garbage cans had not been emptied after the previous customers checked out (thankfully they had not left any unpleasant surprises). The hallways were noisy until well after midnight, and the noise from the lounge carried to our room. In the end, it was a place to sleep for a night, but not a place that I will ever sleep again.
“Avoid during the football season!”
My husband and i stayed at the hotel during the september long weekend. We stayed for an event other than football and the entire stay it was packed with "loaded" football fans. Nothing against the sport but just the hotel for allowing people to walk around the halls and outside at all hours with open liquor. The hotel its self not too bad...however they could lay off the air conditioning a little. With all this said...unless you find a smashing deal...avoid at all costs.
“Great Hotel”
Chateau Regina is a great hotel right where I needed it to be. There were plenty of restaurants and other shopping where I needed it to be. It's close to the Ring Road to get out to other places and pretty close to Albert Street, the other commercial road. The hotel itself is clean and has friendly staff. I was very happy with the hotel overall.
