“Much more than I expected. Very relaxing”
Beautiful decor, everything we needed (full size refrigerator, microwave, etc., helpful staff, roomy and loved the hot breakfast voucher. A great deal for the money.
“Very surprised with quality”
we were very surprised with the quality of the room and the attentiveness of the front office. Will stay there again!
“A new spin on breakfast!”
I used to live in redding about 15 years ago and I remember the travel lodge to be run down, well not anymore! Very updated,clean and reasonably priced. I will echo a lot of the other reviews here but add something that I thought was so cool! They don't serve some eggo waffles and dry muffins like a lot of hotels. They give you a voucher for a local restaurant or do what I did and get a doggy bag with hotel provided applesauce, juice box, granola bar, and yogurt! Don't pass this place up!
“Great Customer Service”
I had to make an unexpected trip to the Redding area. I picked this motel because it was a good price. I was not expecting such nice accommodations. The clerk was responsive to my request not to be placed on the second floor. I was traveling alone and did not want to haul a heavy suitcase up the steps, Wednesday evening on March 21. Just so you know it is apporx. 1/2 mile from the freeway which is a plus, no freeway noise. Breakfast was a voucher to the Lumberjack, which requires you drive for your meal but It was very good.
“Love the staff!”
Very reasonable price, clean and comfortable but it was the staff that makes us want to come back here again. Both shifts were always happy, helpful and going beyond what was expected to make our stay a comfortable and enjoyable one.

the room is excellent, clean and big with free internet and parking. there is room service, if u want any thing u have to get it by yourself from the front disc. price is so good.
“Wonderful stay!”
My wife and I were very satisfied with this hotel. When we checked into our room, my wife noticed that there were ants crawling on the bathroom sink, so I immediately went to the front desk and notified them. The woman at the front desk promptly apologized and upgraded us to a new room which was twice the size and in a much better location then the original room. The hotel itself was very pleasant to stay at. The pool was perfect, the exercise room and spa was very relaxing and they even had a TV in that you could watch while in the spa! Overall, I can't say enough good things about the hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the Redding area on their next trip. Another note, it's within walking distance of the botanical gardens and Sun Dial Bridge.
“Good place to stay”
It was a plesant stay. However, they could use some maintenance on the heaters.
“Impressive disabled access”
While the walls in this place are a bit thin (could've been partly due to the connecting door in our room), there was one BIG thing that set this place apart from the rest...they had a chair lift at the pool! I went to the pool with my family thinking I'd just watch my wife & kids swim like normal, but I was able to get out of my wheelchair and go into the pool with them!!! Granted, the water was COLD, but it didn't matter. We've been to many hotels & motels, including 5-star places, and have never seen a chair lift at the pool before.
“Great for the price”
For what you get, the room was inexpensive Overall, the place was quite good. The medium sized room, furniture, and fixtures were in good condition. If you want to be sure of not getting a room that had been smoked in, then this place is a good choice, becuase upon check in, you sign a form that makes you agree to a $200 charge if they find you've been smoking in the room. I liked that. The facility is well run with good, caring staff. The two of us used the microwave oven in our room to prepare some meals that we bought at Trader Joe's market. Food prep area was cramped.
