Cons: Cleaning wasn't exceptional. New towels were brought in each day but the dirty ones were not taken away!
Location: Good location. Close to restaurants, shopping & hiking.
We were especially pleased that the desk manager offered to change the assigned room for my parents, who were initially assigned to a 2nd floor room (with no elevator) and have trouble with stairs.

A comfortable bed.

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Very comfortable bed.
Cons: I think breakfast should have been included in the price.
Location: Close to I-5 in Redding. Mt. Shasta, Lassen Peak, Whiskeytown Lake nearby.
The most important feature of a room is the bed. After all, the main reason to stay in a motel is to get some rest while you're travelling. Most motels have mattresses that are too firm for me to get a good nights sleep. Not so for the Red Lion. I slept very well.

Pretty Darn Good!

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean, safe, cheap!
Cons: Brighter decore in the long hallways and rooms. Check things like plumbing in the room.
Location: We walked to Applebee's. We went down the street to Starbucks in the morning.
I mean, what are you expecting in Redding,CA? A Palace? No. Clean, safe, pleasant? Yes! And it was. The room was pretty comfy, I was very happy. The long dark hallways are kinda creepy. Plenty of light but decorated in a dark way I should say. The staff was awesome at check in. We had a long walk to our room. It is a HUGE hotel. We paid a decent price for what we got. We walked to dinner. We felt safe. We slept good. It was clean. For what we needed it was great. Shower/Bathroom toilet leaked a bit, was rustic in the shower but seemed clean and we were happy.
