Cons: not having the pool heated would be my own complaint.
Location: tons of mall shopping and restaurants within about a mile of the area
great place to stay when in Redding, nice bar/restaurant in the hotel that stays open late.

Pretty Darn Good!

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean, safe, cheap!
Cons: Brighter decore in the long hallways and rooms. Check things like plumbing in the room.
Location: We walked to Applebee's. We went down the street to Starbucks in the morning.
I mean, what are you expecting in Redding,CA? A Palace? No. Clean, safe, pleasant? Yes! And it was. The room was pretty comfy, I was very happy. The long dark hallways are kinda creepy. Plenty of light but decorated in a dark way I should say. The staff was awesome at check in. We had a long walk to our room. It is a HUGE hotel. We paid a decent price for what we got. We walked to dinner. We felt safe. We slept good. It was clean. For what we needed it was great. Shower/Bathroom toilet leaked a bit, was rustic in the shower but seemed clean and we were happy.

Pros: Food , location, staff
Cons: Smoking rooms , it is totally non smoking.
Location: Right in the heart of Redding. Choice of anything u can name food wise within 1 mile.
Great I always stay here in redding. Great staff, the pool and jacuzzi are right next to the bar. The rooms have directv and new flatscreens. Free wifi. Balcony in room. Great breakfast , which is complimentary as far as I know, Still hard to beat if u are eating locally. Lively bar for redding on Thursday Friday Saturday.

Very nice Staff

Posted 22-Sep-2014
We arrived in Redding early and we had my Grandson who was ready to take a nap we asked to be checked in early and the staff got us right in to a room. The room that expedia booked for us was only one bed and there was 3 of us. So Red Lion was so nice to give us two beds. The room was very nice and clean the grounds was a little old. The only thing I did not like was the sliding glass door to our room on the lower level. We kind of felt insecure. But all in all I was very happy how well the staff worked with us and was very firendly.

Nice hotel with easy access to attractions

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff was wonderful. Very nice people!!!
Cons: It would be helpful to have the breakfast times included in the information book in the rooms.
Location: Just off the I-5 freeway, near the Shasta Mall, Sundial Bridge, Turtle Bay and Waterworks Park.
I was very pleased with the clean room, great pool, plenty of parking. The staff (check-in, housekeepers, breakfast hostess, restaurant,…) was excellent! They were very friendly, helpful, and just pleasant! I'd definitely stay there again. Just get down to breakfast early, the great food goes fast.

Pros: We like the location, the general experience and the pools.
Cons: The shower tile was in need of replacement. Some of the door jambs needed to be repainted. One bulb in the bathroom needed replacement.
Location: Downtown Redding is close to the Sundial Bridge, Turtle Bay, and lots of great parks for kids. Hiking and fishing are all around the city.
Front desk, housekeeping and breakfast staff were all MOST pleasant and helpful.
