Good, but not so good

Posted 23-Nov-2014
Pros: The size of the room.
Cons: Cleaning, check out/ front desk personnel. More then one ice machine...should be one on each floor, not just the main lobby.
Location: It was close to the hospital, which was shere were going in the morning.. So it suited us fine.
When we entered our room, it looked clean until you looked closer...not dusted well, sheets had stains of some sort on them. The check in clerk was very nice, but the check out clerk doesn't know how to smile or say "have a good day" . For the money we spent...would we stay there again? probably not.

Convent & clean

Negative; check in clerk, cold and impersonal. In the morning 0900 or earlier housekeeping knocking on doors to see which rooms are occupied and which are empty, needless to say we were asleep as we came in early that morning. Do they not generate a list of occupied rooms and their check out date? As we checked out there were housekeepers and desk staff outside the door smoking discussing how CHEAP the owners are and belittling the people who employ them, that was a big negative! Hotel was beautiful and comfortable, staff needs additional training and guidence.

Very impressive and spacious room!

Posted 14-Nov-2014
Pros: Great location - close to everything. VERY large and immaculately clean room. Very modern - huge bed and nice bedding. Super friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Right beside a main street with lots of shops and restaurants. Ten minutes to Sundial Bridge. Close to I-5. easy to get to.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Fabulous room. For the money it was amazing! Highly recommended!

Update from review of 9-14

Posted 3-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable; friendly staff.
Cons: The bathroom sink has a large ball for water on/off/temperature. It's difficult to make small adjustments in water flow or temp.
My husband & I returned to this Comfort Inn on our return trip from Portland, OR to our home in SoCal. We were given the same room we had last week. When I wrote the review of that stay, I noted that there was inadequate lighting in the room. Apparently, rooms were being remodeled & this one was incomplete on our 1st visit. Added this week were unique bedside lights. There was a wall-mounted light as well as a spotlight on a gooseneck so one could read without disturbing your partner. There were also 2 outlets on top of the bedside table for very convenient recharging.

Good value.

2 of us stayed 2 nights enrout to Portland. We spent a day hiking around Mt Shasta. The motel staff was friendly. The room was large with comfortable bed & lots of pillows. The only complaint was a shortage of lights on the room. There was no light on the left side of the bed or the right side of the love seat. There was a good variety of food for breakfast.

Nice hotel in boring neighborhood.

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort, and it felt secure to the single guest.
Cons: While pleasant the staff could be better trained. Five staff members congregated around the elevator and the coffee set-up. Guests couldn't get by.
Location: There is nothing of interest nearby.
My only criticism is re pets. In order to walk dogs it is necessary to go through the lobby. Not a huge deal except for the late night walk and the early morning walk when one is in one's pj's. Otherwise a nice reasonable hotel with comfortable beds, and a decent breakfast.

Fun restaurant close by

Based on Hotels.com listing, we picked this hotel because it had RV parking. IT DOES NOT. The hotel accomodated us by letting us use up numerous parking spots (about 7) so unfortunately it limited the number of spaces they had available for other guests and they were full that nite. The moved us to another room so we could watch over our unit since there were "homeless etc" around and theft was a problem. If I hadn't already paid hotels.com in full, I would have gone somewhere else.
