Pros: We liked the hotel's location, breakfast and parking amenities.
Cons: None
Location: There are stores, restaurants, bars, bowling and other places nearby.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The room offered more than expected, in that it was spacious, had a couch, and a refrigerator.

Very clean and comfortable

Posted 8-Feb-2015
Stayed two nights and was very happy with the room. It was very quiet, clean, well appointed and convenient. I don't usually expect a hotel where rooms are under $99 to be this nice. Comfy small couch, desk with comfy work chair, nice TV that is wall-mounted and can be viewed from anywhere-- even the bathtub!-- and very nice firm king-size bed. And a ton of pillows in both softer and firmer styles! Granite countertop in the bathroom. In the closet was an iron and board, extra pillow, extra blanket, luggage rack. My only complaint-- and it's a mild one -- is that the wifi was sporadic at best. When I called the desk, they had their resident techie come up to try to help me. Couldn't get it to work with three different browsers, and he said it's a fairly frequent problem and he wished the owner would upgrade the system. My workaround was to use my iPhone's personal hotspot which worked fine, once I moved from the desk to the bed. So I suspect there's some kind of interference at work. They should upgrade the router and/or install repeaters. I was getting a stronger signal from the hotel next door. But it's not a deal-breaker for me, and they offered the use of the lobby computer if I needed it, so that helped mitigate my frustration. Luckily my employer -- for whom I had to be online all day -- also supplies an unlimited data plan for my iPhone as I was definitely burning up the gigabytes. Lastly, the breakfast: sausage, eggs, waffles, bagels, juice, muffins, Danish... yum!

Would not recommend.

Posted 27-Jan-2015
The room had a balcony, but the sliding door handle was missing making it hard to open or shut the door. I would expect a door handle on every door in a room! The hotel was not full (by any means) but guests were clustered all together. We could hear the people above walking in their room, they were not jumping or running, simply walking normally. We could hear other rooms' showers, toilets, and even heard someone's alarm in the am. It is a smoke free hotel, but apparently the desgnated smoking area was directly under our balcony. Hotel workers smoked and talked on the telephone there and the smoke drifted to our balcony and we could hear them in our room with all doors shut. I would not recommend this Redding, Ca hotel.

We booked a room with two Queen beds, room was a little on the small side but adequate. Good view and balcony with a Southern exposure. We would stay again.

Just passing through

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Pros: Breakfast was included with sausage, egg, and make-your-own waffles which I love! Also cereal, yogurt, plenty variety.
Cons: Clean carpets in hallway and stains in rooms.
Location: Close to main road and lots of restaurants, etc. yet far enough off highway to be quiet.
Stayed for a quick stop over through CA both going up and a week later coming back. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are nicely sized. Needed pet friendly room which are all on the first floor but they placed us in the second room, front side (108) which meant our dog could hear people unloading at the front entrance which caused her to be restless and bark. Also, the front side has patios and the guest next door stepped out to smoke and yack on the phone which we could hear. It was raining and the hallway carpet was rather dirty, but I suppose it would be expected. On the way back, I asked for a room as far away from the entrance for the above reasons and they accommodated us by putting us at the end of the hallway on the back side which was very quiet and worked wonderfully. A few stains on the carpet in the rooms, but it's a dog room. I thank the staff for paying attention to my request when booked on Expedia.
