Update from review of 9-14Posted 3-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable; friendly staff.
Cons: The bathroom sink has a large ball for water on/off/temperature. It's difficult to make small adjustments in water flow or temp.
My husband & I returned to this Comfort Inn on our return trip from Portland, OR to our home in SoCal. We were given the same room we had last week. When I wrote the review of that stay, I noted that there was inadequate lighting in the room. Apparently, rooms were being remodeled & this one was incomplete on our 1st visit. Added this week were unique bedside lights. There was a wall-mounted light as well as a spotlight on a gooseneck so one could read without disturbing your partner. There were also 2 outlets on top of the bedside table for very convenient recharging.

Good value.Posted 26-Sep-2014
2 of us stayed 2 nights enrout to Portland. We spent a day hiking around Mt Shasta. The motel staff was friendly. The room was large with comfortable bed & lots of pillows. The only complaint was a shortage of lights on the room. There was no light on the left side of the bed or the right side of the love seat. There was a good variety of food for breakfast.

Nice hotel in boring neighborhood.Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort, and it felt secure to the single guest.
Cons: While pleasant the staff could be better trained. Five staff members congregated around the elevator and the coffee set-up. Guests couldn't get by.
Location: There is nothing of interest nearby.
My only criticism is re pets. In order to walk dogs it is necessary to go through the lobby. Not a huge deal except for the late night walk and the early morning walk when one is in one's pj's. Otherwise a nice reasonable hotel with comfortable beds, and a decent breakfast.

rooms are spacious, did not wake up in time for breakfast (wish they would have had it until 10 am)

Enjoyed the stayPosted 25-Jul-2014
It was nice--very clean--roomy and very comfortable. Loved it. Again, easy on and off the highway--but not noisy.

Nice HotelPosted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: The room was great! I enjoyed having a sitting area as well as the sleeping area. Always hot coffee in the lounge area.
Easy to check in, beautiful room, pet friendly and a good breakfast. The staff always had a smile and friendly advise about shopping, food and activities that were near by.

Great and reliable stay for the pricePosted 2-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for one night. The room was exceptionally large. All amenities were comfortable, clean and useful. Glad we made the choice of Comfort Inn, and will stay again when in Redding.

Good LocationPosted 25-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel was fine and provided everything it promised. When we arrived the staff person at the reception desk was cold and unfriendly. She acted like she was doing us a favor giving us our room key. Not a pleasant way to arrive at a hotel when traveling.
