Pros: The location.
Cons: An older motel.
Location: N?A
A decent room for the price. An older motel. It seemed clean and was ready when I needed it.

Dirty & warm

Posted 17-Jul-2015
The tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, it was disgusting. The vanity had wet, greasy spots all over it & there was a nasty long black hair in the sink. The AC was a wall unit that was about the size of a toaster and couldn't begin to fight off the 90 degree weather we were having. The manager basically called me a liar about the AC stating that the person that stayed there the previous week complained about it being too cold in the room, well that week the outside temps were in the 70's! Would never stay there again, and the only reason I did was because they allowed pets at $10/day but then stick you in their crappiest rooms!

Pros: Location and convenience of parking.
Cons: Cleaning of room
Location: Very nice scenery in Red Wing, MN and many tourist attractions close by. Location could not have been any better.
Room needed a good cleaning job done. The floors were very dirty. Check in was great.

Old Motel still okay.

Motel was adequate. It was built probably in the 70s but seemed decently maintained. Breakfast was good.

Bates Motel lookalike

Pros: The location
Cons: This hotel seriously needs a professional remodel.
I stayed in room 124. Bathroom and all surfaces were clean, Carpeting was old and shabby. Should have been replaced 10 years ago. This property must date from the '50s. Remodeled to look nice from the road. Inside is a throwback to the '60s or '70s. Everything was done on the cheap with less than quality workmanship. Electric sockets were not convenient for laptop or cell phone charging. Room did have mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot. I did not use the pool, located in a separate building. Breakfast was offered in the lobby, but little space to eat. This is now a Wyndham property, but certainly not up to their usual standards. I ignored the previous reviews to my regret. The location was very convenient for me to attend a family function in Frontenac. Next time I visit, I will stay in Lake City or elsewhere in Red Wing.

Quiet but not clean. Heater is an air conditioner that runs none stop. Room was dirty, mirror was dirty. Continentl breakfast was not great at all. Will not stay here again. You get what you pay for!

Unpleasant

Posted 27-Mar-2015 on Hotels
The room was what you would expect for the price. It was mostly clean but the service was horrible. The Manager or owner was very rude and snippy. We will not be going there again.
