Close to a correctional facility!!!!

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: Nothing worked and it was filthy!!!
Cons: A stay at a different hotel!!!!
What is there to say?? I was right next door to a correctional facility, I couldn't sleep, there was no vending, either sold out or not working. Room was filthy and smelled funny!!! Do not recommend ever!!!

Pros: Nothing
The sheets and towels were clean but that's about as far as it went. Manager at the desk that day needs a few lessons in dealing with the public! No breakfast (at least not what we'd consider a breakfast compared to Choice Privilege hotels.

good for the price

Fairly close to downtown. The only thing a little disturbing was the correctional facility about 20 yards away!

Ok for a night.

Nice pool and hot tub. Room wasn't super clean but no funky odors! No food around - kind of out of the way location. Bed and pillows were comfy.

Great for a night

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: It's dated, for sure, but the bed was new-er and comfortable enough for a single night.
Cons: Room amenities are in drastic need of updating.
Location: The location is quiet, albeit next to a juvenile prison. But you're right off the highway and across from the river, which was nice and convenient.
Obviously not the Four Seasons, this hotel served its purpose for our trip. It was easily the best value in the area, and the perfect place to stay the night to break up a long day of traveling in the car.

Works in a Pinch

Posted 8-Sep-2014
The hotel was about as expected from reading reviews. The structure is in dire need of a modernization. I think that alone would dramatically improve guest's opinion. The main grievance of mine was the climate control. The air conditioning unit was mounted on the wall about 4 inches from the ceiling above a counter top. There was a general thermostat on the wall not far from it. We adjusted the thermostat but it did not turn the air on. We could see the digital temp setting but could not reach it. We ended up not sleeping well because we were hot. Certainly a factor that would prevent me from staying there again.

Pros: We liked that you can drive to the front door of your room. Easier than carrying luggage into and then up to your room.
Cons: The rooms desperately need updating and outside of the building could be improved. New air conditioner units could be installed.
Small room, not very clean. Continental breakfast was nothing to write home about. Basically, only toast and coffee. Staff not present in the am. Outside of the room was in need of sprucing up. Room felt damp and the smell of the room was of mildew. Air conditioner was a window unit in need of repair. Was on all the time and never took out the humidity inside the room.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Nothing. It really should be burned down.
Location: Great place and lots to do.
This hotel was so run down and stunk so bad that we didn't even stay. Even though we went to the front desk and talked to the owner he would not refund our money since he said we booked through a third party.( Expedia). He claimed the room did not smell and he had no other rooms. I looked in most of the windows and they were empty and no cars anywhere. This is the first review I have ever written and only do so because I feel compelled to warn others away from this extremely poor hotel and owner. We neede a place to stay and cancelled our trip and drove home because of this hotel.
