The heater did not work. There was no housekeeping so the coffee supplies and paper cups weren’t replenished and the kitchenette was not equipped. No toaster or dish soap. No coffee cups, Kleenex or paper towels or dish towels or dish cloths

It was hands down one of the sketchiest places I have ever stayed and it was more expensive than a lot of other nicer places in the area, I only picked it because the photos make it look decent and I was able to use a booking credit for some of the cost. The outlets didn’t work in the room, the bedding was filthy, the microwave/mini fridge were filthy, the door had been broken through and the door frame was cracked apart and the bolt was ripped from the wall while the door itself had almost a dozen baseball sized dents that looked like they were made by a hammer, it was SO LOUD all night because of the clientele, multiple drug transactions took place in the parking lot, I was followed to my room and harassed multiple times by people who were under the influence, and I had to move my car across the parking lot for fear of a 20ft length of rain gutter tearing itself of the roof in the wind and landing on my car because it was hanging down a few feet

Looks good on the outside, however the room had a bad oder more like smoke in a non-smoking room. The sink and tub drained very slow. The mattress needed replacing, was a bit worn. The light switch plate was broken and needed replacing. Door seal was inadequate allowing light and air to come through.

The guy that did check in had to phone someone because he didn’t know how to complete the check in process which caused a 10 minute delay. The room stinks of cigarettes even though it is apparently a non-smoking room. There are dents in the doors, walls, fixtures. There is paint missing from gouges on the walls. TV didn’t work and had to have maintenance help. There are rough and colourful people around the property at all hours of the day and night. People could be heard yelling at each other in the middle of the night, outside and inside the rooms. I would not recommend or stay here again.

Was very happy with the cleanliness of the room, the spaciousness of the room and the price. I travel for work on a budget and have booked similarly priced hotels in red deer before to great disappointment and feeling unsafe and unclean. This motel didn’t have any of that and was the same price. This will be the motel I stay in in red deer moving forward.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking. It wasn’t. There were only three small and hard cushions for pillows. Not real pillows and usually three isn’t sufficient for 2 people on a queen bed….and- these were cushions. The room was run down, the bed felt “thin”. The water wouldn’t drain in the sinks and shower well. Overall…I should have booked a hotel elsewhere earlier.

Old and dirty
Older and dirty looking place. Sheets and cover both had black grease looking stains. Mattress was older and sloped to the middle and sagged at bottom corner. Kitchenette seemed like an after thought add on. No kitchen linens were provided, no toaster. Chose to use paper plates and glad we brought our own pan as what was there for dishes and pans were dirty and very poor. Bathroom was good but old. Quiet overall.

The bathroom sink was stained brown. Looked like dirt was in it but it wouldn't rub off. Very dirty old sponge was on the counter I'm assuming to be used to clean dishes. New sponges can easily be bought for cheap at the dollar store instead of leaving old dirty ones for new guests.The air conditioning unit didn't blow cold air and was more like a fan. The room smelled like smoke. There were ants in the kitchen.

The property is in need of a lot of repairs. Our room the headboard was torn and tattered, the trim on the hot tub is falling off, everything else was acceptable. The stairwell needed to be cleaned. If we had anywhere else we could’ve gotten a room, we would not have stayed, but it was the last room in the city.

Overall we were pleased with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. There is highway noise, but unless you are a real light sleeper, it isn't a problem. We could also hear the people above us walking around, but it wasn't terrible. The staff was friendly and helpful. If we only need to stay for one night again, we'd look at staying here again.

It was a cold snowy day in Red Deer (-15 c). We couldn't drive home because the highways were very icy and had numerous accidents between Red Deer and our home, so we elected to book the only room left. What a mistake! Check in was at 3:00 pm, we arrived around 5:30 pm and were told the room wasn't ready yet. No big deal, we went and had supper while waiting. Arrived back at the room, there was painted ripped of the walls, the room smelled, no glasses, no towels and no heat! Can you imagine no heat in a snow storm! Won't be EVER going back!
