“Very pleasant experience”
This hotel is a few miles east of central Rapid City, but very close to the highway and within a few minutes' drive of the central part of the city. Although close to the highway it was very quiet. There is little in the immediate area (a few other hotels, gas stations, and fast food joints) but it was just a few minutes' highway drive to the main part of Rapid City and other services (restaurants, stores, etc). The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and very nice. The rooms were roomy enough for our family of three (2 adults and one older teenager) with a small sitting area, nice bathroom, and small refrigerator/microwave. The beds were very comfortable--indeed, among the best we've experienced on the road. The front desk staff was quite helpful. The complimentary breakfast was adequate, about what one would expect for a "free" breakfast. Similarly, the pool was ok, as was the fitness room (a few treadmills and some free weights, but you weren't expecting Golds' Gym, now were you....). Check out the metal buffalo sculpture in front! Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.
“The princess and the pea...”
This hotel is new and very clean. The matress was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The staff was friendly and helpful. All and all everything you would expect from a hotel with the word "suite" in its name.
“Already referred friends to stay here”
We took our first non- flight vacation with our four girls, ages 2-11, out to the Black Hills area. Our stay at the Comfort Suites was very enjoyable. Friendly staff, clean accomodations, great breakfast and easy access from the freeway. We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home!
“Best hotel in Rapid city or in Soth Dakota. No need to look else where.”
The whole stall was more than friendly and hotel was is GREAT condition,the rooms were impressive, It was just a GREAT stay!!
“Good rate, nice hotel”
We booked this hotel because we were flying out early from Rapid City and wanted to be closer to the airport. This hotel is conveniently located nearby and has a few fast food joints close for a quick bite to eat. The hotel was very clean and new looking, has comfortable beds and the noise from outside traffic was minimal. Although we didn't use them, the pool and exercise area looked nice. The room we booked had two queen beds and a sitting area, and was nice and comfortable with plenty of extra space. I got a good rate on it and would definitely stay here again in the future.
“Great for a Girls Weekend Getaway!”
We had a girls weekend and enjoyed our stay very much! The staff were all very helpful.
“Good hotel/very good suite”
Staff were polite and helpful but not over friendly. Suite was very good and best value we had in 19 nights in US. Very convenient for Badlands /Cody National Parks, Blackhills, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Only downside is lack of a walkable restaurant. Dakotah Steakhouse across the parking lot unfriendly, expensive and not particularly good food.
“Just what we wanted...”
Great room, great beds. Pretty easy to find and even though it was just outside of town, it was fast to drive to Mt Rushmore and see the sites.
“Convenient plce to stay in Rapid City”
They were very nice at the front desk. The hotel is clean and pleasant and conveniently located. They have breakfast, but no cafe or restaurant in the hotel. Room service is catered in.
“Will definitely go back.”
Excellent Hotel, I felt safe and secure, but there are not many options for eating nearby. McDonalds or the steak house which usually has a long waiting line. One must drive and be familiar with the city.
