“Clean and comfortable”
How first impressions are important~ The young gentleman at the front desk was excellent in his welcoming and satisfying of our needs. The breakfast area was very well prepared and kept spotless. The pool was clean and refreshing. Our rooms were clean and comfortable! For a "low" star rating, our family would say it was a four-star all around!

“Easy enough”
I stayed one night. The front desk person was very polite and quick. He even remembered my name. The room was nice and clean. No bathtub, just a shower. No internet though. There's a very nice Mexican restaurant across the street with very good food. Pretty quick access to main traffic arteries. I used my Garmin to find the hotel and it wasn't on there, but I found an address close by and had no problem getting there.

The only drawback was the whirlpool - barely warm and no bubbles

“pleasant stay”
My wife and I have stayed at the Wake Forest Inn several times because it's on the way to our son's home. It has always been a pleasant place to stay. On our last visit, we noticed that the hotel had been refurbished-new carpet etc. at it was very fresh and clean. Access is easy off route 1 and route 98. Easy access to Raleigh too. We plan to stay there in the future.

The only problem I had was that the non-smoking rooms were on smoking floors. But I know this is hard to get away from in this state.

“Caters to Hard Partying Construction Workers”
My family was given a room on the smoking floor. The room next door was full of guests who kept their door wide open with smoke billowing out into the hallways. The room and hallways were thick with cigarette smoke . When I asked the front desk manager to move us to another room, he was reluctant to approach the offending guests, as they were "regulars". After a sleepless night of loud, partying and rather violent behavior, I demanded a different room. We were hard pressed to stay since my child had a competition that weekend. The morning manager explained that the offending guests were construction workers who stay at their hotel regularly but that should not have been tolerated. We were moved to a different floor and the room was much better and quieter. The breakfast was very limited and skimpy. I would opt for going to a restaurant if you have a real appetite. There is 1 waffle maker, cereal and stale mini doughnuts.
