“Business Traveler”

Very Nice Budget Motel.......I travel a lot for business and am always looking for places such as this one that are clean and affordable to stay at. If you are use to four and five star accommodations then this may not be the place for you but if you need an affordable, clean well kept, safe place to stay near the interstate and with plenty of restaurants and a grocery store in the area this is the place for you

“Wouldn't stay there again”

I stayed here based on reviews that said it was a good deal for a budget hotel. This was not my experience. It was close to where I needed to be, and the help was polite, but everything else was not as decent as expected.

“Basic motel, but clean and good service”

This was a very basic hotel. It was clean and in a decent location - close to several restaurants and down the street from costco. No major complaints. Nice staff.

“Good for Price”

Had to ask for an iron and board and pick it up from the office. Alarm clock woke me up at 4am from the previous visitor. It would be nice if the staff turned all alarms off when cleaning the room.

“It is the small things that count.”

The hotel experience could be improved by making sure there are enough towels for guests. ( We had only one face cloth and one wash cloth for 2 people). The clock radio did not work. Also on the second morning of our stay the only coffee cups available were the used ones from the morning before. On a positive note the bed was comfortable. The plastic pillows were slippery and the pillow case kept slipping off during the night.

“Bust”

When I arrived, the room that I was not cleaned yet. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was assigned a new room, without so much as an apology. My new, clean room had a toilet that wouldn't stop running as well as spotty (at best) wifi. This last point had been a sticking issue, being that it was one of the "musts" for my stay (since I was on business travel).

“Nasty Hotel”

Room smelled like smoke, even though I was in a non-smoking room. Also, the staff wouldn't allow a small coffee maker in my room. And the light above my bed was dangling off the wall.

“Run , don't walk away from the Red Roof Inn”

I have stayed at a Red Roof Inn in another State, so I felt comfortable making a reservation to stay there again in Durham NC. My mistake! The sheets were dirty although the bed was made. When I called the front desk to inform them the employee stated that she would bring me sheets to change the bed myself! It was late when I had returned to the room to retire for the evening and I was tired from a long day and she wanted me to make up my own bed. I told her to bring me the sheets and after waiting 10 minutes I went to the front desk just to find her and another worker laughing and deeply in conversation about some personal issues. I was hot under the collar by this point and requested to be moved to another room. I was granted that opportunity but that room was dirty too. There was trash on the floor in the bathroom, although the less than half of toilet tissue was bend back in a fancy way . There was a coffee pot machine in this room but no coffee pot. How does that work? There weren't enough towels to go around with my other guest who was with me. Upon checkout I asked to speak to the manager on duty and was told there was no one available to speak to me but a detail message was left and that I would be receiving a call that day. I have been home for 2 days now and have not received a call yet. I will never ever give them my business again. As a matter of fact i have told everyone that I know not to give them business.
