“New Town Quito and the NuHouse Hotel”

Wonderful Hotel and staff. The rooms are large and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Quito. The only drawback to the NuHouse Hotel (in my opinion) was its proximity to the dsiscos across the street. There was a considerable amount of noise from the clubs themselves as well as the annoying cars (with the unbelievably loud sound systems) until the wee hours of the morning. Sadly, the city of Quito has also seen necessary to allow "party buses" to patrol the streets in New Town. This (again in my opinion) really cheapens what is really a nice, safe, vibrant and modern "New Town". If I am fortunate enough to visit Quito again - I would not hesitate to stay at the NuHouse Hotel. Cheers!

“Hip Hotel in the Epicenter of Quito's Nightlife”

We were overall quite pleased with Nu House, and I would probably stay there again if returning to Quito. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and all spoke English well. They went out of their way to help up plan excursions, and the hotels drivers were convenient and reasonably priced. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, with large flat screen tvs with many channels in English. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was included. The location, on Plaza Foch, was prefect for dining out and going to bars. It was definitely noisy at night, so I recommend asking for a room that does not overlook the plaza. Otherwise, you'll need to bring earplugs, as the music from the bars on the plaza goes on all night. My only other complaint was the temperature. There is no a/c and the room gets really stuffy. The hotel has some fans, but all were loaned out to other guests. Opening the window helped some, but increased the noise. Perhaps this could be cured by contacting the hotel ahead of time and ensuring that they will have a fan in your room.

“Perfect rest stop for the Galapagos”

We stayed here before and after our trip to the Galapagos Islands. There were many things to do for the day within 5 minutes of the hotel and plenty of dinner options just outside the hotel door. Beds were very comfy and the shower was awesome.

The hotel is very nice..the location is very important cause is placed in Plaza Foch..were you can find a lot of restaurants and bars..the room was nice but we expected something else..I think the decoration was average..not as I thought it would be..at night after my sister and I went back to the hotel after partying we noticed that the concierge/security guy thought for a minute that we were not staying at the hotel and asked us in a weird way the number of our room..we didn´t like that..the breakfast was kinda poor..so we decided to proceed to check out the next day and stay in a different hotel..we love Quito! is a wonderful city but we expected some more from this nice hotel...I hope they can work on it...thank you :)
