“Nice Hotel”
Our stay was very nice. The staff is helpful and efficient, the neighborhood is ok and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a large selection, buffet style. I will stay here again anytime I'm in Quito.
“Dinky”
The staff were friendly and helpful, despite arriving after midnight. The rooms were well maintained and the water was hot. Breakfast was very good, if somewhat a little restricted. Extremely pleasant stay.
“We loved the hotel Eugenia”
We stayed at the hotel Eugenia for a week in June. Some noise from traffic is unavoidable in the external rooms, but the open aspect makes up for this. The internal rooms are probably quieter, but of course have no view. The standard of cleaning at the hotel was very good and not intrusive. We had breakfast at the hotel on the first morning, but after that preferred to go out to the local coffee house at a time that suited us. If you are planning to eat at the hotel in the evening, check the times, because when we were there, service was finished by 9pm and by 8pm on a Sunday. There was a computer in the lobby where guests could use the internet for free. The locked gate and armed guard at the hotel were reassuring. The hotel receptionists were very helpful. They arranged a car for us to get to an appointment and while the driver had some difficulty finding the address, there was no way he was going to abandon us before he was sure we were in the right place, for which we were grateful. One morning on an impulse we requested a tour and within half an hour the receptionist had arranged a great local driver who took us to the Virgen de El Panecillo , the Equator and Guapulo and waited for us in each place for a reasonable amount. When we checked out we were surprised and pleased that there were no extra charges on top of the very reasonable sum we had already paid. We would definitely go back.
“Great place to stay in Quito”
My husband and I stayed a few nights in the Eugenia Hotel. The personnel was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is centrally located and very clean. We highly recommend it. No information material or a map of Quito was available, though.
“Great Less Expensive Safe Hotel”
Hotel was smaller, but we felt very safe. The staff was very helpful, willing to do anything for us. All spoke Spanish and English. 24 Hour Guard posted outside. Great room, very clean & comfortable! Would definitely stay again. Great Price!
“Eugenia hotel in Quito, ec”
The staff are very pleasant and patient with limited Spanish speaking tourists. The room was small but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Arriving around 8pm, we cautiously ventured into the neighborhood and ate close-by at Esteban's Steakhouse-remember when ordering "mixed grill" there are multiple parts that most gringos don't eat The portions are huge and all that we tried was tasty. The next morning we walked around the neighborhood and were greeted warmly by all on the streets as well as the dogs happily barking from the roof tops. Our driver the next morning arrived early but parked around the corner and patiently waited until we came downstairs with our luggage, then gladly assisted carrying the luggage to his waiting van. Overall, I'd recommend the hotel and before I forget don't miss the breakfast, especially the small tree tomatoes.
“Best value for money”
This hotel was perfect for me. I was planning to walk around Quito, not hoping for a hotel where I could stay all day long. Well located and extremely clean(!). Staff was helpful and really kind. The only thing I would recommend is to be as picky as possible when selecting or getting the room... ask for the quieter available.
“Great location, good place”
We stayed 7 nights at the Eugenia. It was well located and the staff was most congenial. The breakfast was a great highlight(fresh fruit, juice, eggs, toast, good strong coffee.
“Excellent and Friendly Hotel”
I was very impressed with my recent stay at Hotel Eugenia. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff went out of it's way to treat me from the moment I arrived. The food was excellent at thier free breakfasts and room service was very reasonable. The hotel is located near everything and is in a great location for either doing business or going out to enjoy the city.
“Nice Place”
Very nice hotel; can't beat the price for what you get. I would certainly stay there again.
