We stayed in 2 private rooms on the hotel (not hostel) side. High ceilings, comfy beds (by far the best of the 5 places we stayed in Mexico), "modern art" showers. Speaking of art, it's everywhere (walls, stairwells, painted rocks...). Nice bar on the roof with great views. One of our rooms was below the bar, so it was noisy until after 1 AM, but we're night owls so it was OK. (If you're not, get a room on the 1st floor.) One of the 4 of us had the hot water run out 1 minute into the shower (in the afternoon), but the rest of us were OK. Breakfast was hearty and delicious! Oh, and the location! It is just steps outside the walking-only callejones and plazas in the center of Querétaro! Without a doubt I will stay here on my next visit.

Excellent location in the heart of old Queretaro. Very easy to walk to everything we wanted to visit. Antonio did a great job of orienting us to the city when we checked in. The small art gallery on entrance is very charming. The breakfast was some of the best food of the trip.

On the recommendation of a family member my spouse and I chose to stay at a hotel (of which there were many choices) in the historic district of Querétaro. After reading other reviews we decided to give this one a try and were glad we did. Upon arrival we were immediately impressed by the courteousness of the staff and the value for our dollar at this beautifully appointed hotel that was built in the 1600's. In addition to providing an ideal location to stay, the rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed. Truth be told we would have probably been okay with paying double the asking rate considering the aforementioned benefits.

Staff was very friendly, but only one staff member spoke English. Difficult time conversing.
Pool was not very clean, but other than that, very nice.
Room was very clean everyday, and the staff left extra things without us even asking!
Room temperature was a little hard to control; beds are hard! But that seems to be the sentiment throughout Mexico.

"Awesome hotel in the heart of downtown queretaro."
My stay at the hotel was awesome. Great room, great staff, great location. The only bad thing is that it's a very quit place so you really can't have the smallest get together before the night staff start complaining, but other than that it's a great hotel.
