Acceptable..

Althought not the best place we have been in Costa Rica... the hotel was clean and confortable. You can see that maybe 10-15 years ago this was a really nice place, but now it is a little outdated. The staff were not very cooperative and looked bothered to help...

Rooms need updating

Pros: I like the transportation to the beach
It should be mentioned that many steps are required to reach the office, pool, and dining room.

Beach getaway.

Posted 27-Jan-2014
Pros: Location was good, staff friendly. Accommodations were good, but I would not describe them as luxurious.
Cons: Need more lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool. Lousy water pressure in the shower.
Location: Nothing within walking distance, but hotel shuttle and public transportation can bring you to the beach, park, or into town.
We stayed for three days, two nights. We didn't have a car, but there is a convenient shuttle to the beach. Public bus also runs every 20 minutes. Taxi into Quepos is also a good option. Restaurants- Rico Tico and Claro Que Seafood are both excellent. We did not do any excursions as we've been there, done that on a previous trip. We were happy to spend our time just laying on the beach or around the pool, and exploring the immediate area. Climbing up and down steps to navigate the grounds were not an issue for us, but they could be a problem for someone with mobility issues.

This hotel is nestled within a wildlife preserve

Posted 10-Nov-2013
This hotel is nestled within a wildlife preserve, so you are surrounded by beauty and the wonder of nature at all times. We woke each morning to the sound of the surf, howler monkeys, and hundreds of birds, which was awesome! The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and all staff members were friendly and extremely accommodating in helping us plan our daily activities. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Location/View/Service
Cons: fix hot tub in the childrens pool, offer "some rooms" with TV, invest in better Shampoo/conditioner, and WiFi was inconsistent
Location: The butterfly garden is amazing - ask about the other side of it. Eating, manuel antonio park - we took city bus much cheaper than taxi and shuttle
Location and Service are TOP NOTCH We were really disappointed that we left our Camera charger out while we were gone and it went missing. We shook our stuff and it was never found. Will cost us about $100 to replace. LOCK EVERYTHING. The childrens pool is a bit cold during the rain season and there appears to be a hot tub above but it doesn't work. The movies they show at night are out dated...very out dated. The one movie we would have watched wasn't working. Breakfast is wonderful. BEWARE: There are no TV's in the rooms. Okay for me but not for teenager and husband. The view is amazing and you will have beautiful birds and monkeys in the area which is nice. The grounds are well kept. Ladies - bring your own shampoo/conditioner. I did not pack any for fear it would bust in my luggage I ended up paying a lot for decent conditioner at the local Joseth mart.

Great Experience

Posted 23-May-2013
Pros: Location
Cons: lots of steps
Location: Close enough to walk to neighboring towns but public buses were easy to take and inexpensive
Everything about this hotel is amazing, but be prepared for alot of steps. The hotel staff was excellant, the view was beautiful and the food at the Rico Tico was very good with large portions.

Wonderful Stay At Si Como No

Posted 23-Apr-2013
Pros: The grounds and the pools.
Location: Great location.
Si Como No Resort, Spa and Wildlife Refuge We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We booked three tours through them: the Manuel Antonio guided hike tour, which was fabulous. Without the guide, I doubt we would have seen half of the animals that we did. The surf lessons for our children were perfect. They each had their own instructor and were both able to ride several waves by the end. While the snorkeling was not great because of poor visibility in the water, we still enjoyed the boat ride. The room was really nice and housekeeping did a fantastic job. We had a deluxe room with an amazing view. The grounds and pools are so beautiful. We spent every afternoon at the pools after our days sightseeing. My son's favorite part was eating at the swim up bar. Got to say we all enjoyed having drinks there. Happy hour at the pools was great- 2 for one drinks! We caught 2 of the movies in the hotel's theater, which was fun. We all really enjoyed the breakfast buffet- there was something for everyone. Especially loved the French toast, made to order omelettes, and fresh fruit. There are many large iguanas on property, which co-exist nicely with the guests. It is within walking distance of several good restaurants. We especially loved The Wagon's wood fired pizzas- delicious and really inexpensive. Thank you Si Como No for helping to create a wonderful family vacation!
