Beautiful view

Posted 13-Apr-2015
The hotel/resort has what I would call one of the most beautiful views there are. However the resort is showing it's age. But as they say "things only get better with time." We had a wonderful time at the resort.

A wonderful first experience in Costa Rica

Posted 11-Apr-2015
Pros: The graciousness, the comfort, the service and the food. We especially liked our guide, Caesar.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: We were only there one day. Another time, I would stay longer to see their evening lighted tour of the gardens
We arrived late and our reception was gracious and efficient. Our breakfast was terrific, especially the fruit. We asked for a guide the next morning, and we got Caesar who was amazing. He knew and enjoyed every leaf and living creature. We saw and learned so much that we would have missed had we tried visit the park on our own. . He also led us through the hotel's butterfly garden which is real treat. Do not miss the butterfly garden. There is even a balcony where you could have your cocktails and watch the butterflies. The hotel is about 2 hours the airport in San Jose. If you arrive during daylight, the trip is interesting (We saw mating Macaws on our way back). But at night it seemed a long and twisting road.

Great for Families

Book this hotel. It is wonderful and fun. There are many restaurants in walking distance. They have a movie theatre that shows movies every night. The pool bar, breakfast and service are excellent. Highly recommend. We have stayed here twice.

Sweet Getawsy

Pros: Beautiful location,views and grounds.
Location: Lots of restaurants nearby and the National park and public beach very close by
The hotel is located cliff side in the quaint town of Manuel Antonio...Beautiful views from everywhere. Great concept of Adult pool and Family pool. Lush Green Oasis type grounds. Restaurants were delicious and service fantastic. Live music daily and Leo is amazingly talented. Real breakfast included and it was hearty. The room was comfortable and well provisioned with all the details. If you are looking for a swanky modern boutique...You might be in the wrong country. :) There were a number of stairs as it is cliff side but I enjoyed the extra exercise. I booked a Canopy Zip line adventure through the concierge and it was a blast as well. It was perfect! I'm already planning my next trip back and bringing friends.

5 star hotel with amazing views

Posted 30-Jan-2015
Pros: awesome views from the balcony and huge property with 2 nice pools
Location: great location 5 minutes driving to the public beach and not too far from the national park
when i got to si como no right from the beginning the view from the lobby was out of this world. Everything around the hotel was very nice and pleasing to look at and the rooms were great especially the beds. I only spent 1 day at this hotel which i feel is not enough but it is very expensive which is the only problem since you get nothing with the price besides access to a little butterfly conservatory everything else you have to pay extra for such as the night walk tour and things of that nature associated with the hotel which i thought were free for guests but aren't.

Nice place could use some upgrades

Posted 30-Jan-2015
My family stayed there last week. We loved the pool. The restaurant is quite good with lots of options. You could walk to other places for dinner if you wanted. The butterfly garden across the street is amazing. I felt like the room could use some upgrades. Our bed made a lot of noise if you rolled over in the middle of the night you definitely would wake the person next to you. Felt like for the price rooms should be much nicer and no decorations just a bed and table, and a funky fridge.

Paradise on earth

Pros: Feeling like you are one with nature. The beautiful grounds. The friendly staff. The plants / flowers and wildlife . A photographers dream.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing .
Location: Close to restaurants / beach/ shopping and town. Buses, taxis and shuttles all cheap or free.
This was probably the best vacation our family of 4 has ever taken. Airport pick up arranged through hotel worth every cent / driver made the trip an adventure .check in a breeze with friendly and efficient , Hilda. The staff were all wonderful. The hotel absolutely amazing . The accommodations and the grounds were gorgeous . Complimentary breakfast made to order every morning delicious. We booked tours through the hotel . The Santa Juana tour is the best . We rode horses, hiked with Johnny through the most beautiful forest learning about nature , swam in the river under waterfalls are a great lunch and went fishing !! We went white water rafting ,to the butterfly farm ( free) took free shuttle to the beach and national park to hike. Ate delicious meals at hotel and in Guepos . We met the owner of the hotel who has dedicated his life to environmental causes and is truly a hero to me . It was a trip of a life time . We will remember Si Como No forever .

The stay was excellent. Nice property nestled in the rain forest. Rooms were great. Ours had a view of the ocean and some small islands and a sloth on the tree outside our window. Food is mediocre but right outside there are many places to eat. Kids had a blast in the pools which were well designed. No TV in the rooms but we did not miss that. Safe / locker in the room did not work.
