“Byblos the best choice!”

Our stay at Byblos was absoutely awesome! I highly recommend bookink this hotel if you are planning to stay at Manuel Antonio. We booked a deluxe room, which was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The hotel looks like located in the middle of the jungle, but, at the same time, you are 5 minutes drive to the park. The best of the hotel is the monkey views all around! They are very cute and funny, you can see them all day long jumping from one tree to another, very nice! And the best of all is the staff, they assist you at any time and give you advice on anything you may need. Elias was our favourite! He is so cool! The breakfast is free and very good, even if you are asked to choose within 4 r 5 options. The only thing I would criticize is the wireless connection to internet, which was not constant, and they didn´t know why but It is not a big issue if you are on holidays as we! All the food served at the restaurant was excellent but especially do not miss to taste their pizza! I would definitely stay here again! I loved it!

“Beautiful jungle hotel”

We had a deluxe room on the second floor and were so pleased by the whole experience. The room was lovely, with a terrific view of the ocean. The grounds and the pool were fabulous and there were monkeys all around us, right in the trees. The food was good and not too expensive, plus the included breakfasts were very tasty. The management was so friendly and accomodating, giving the hotel a really cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Overall, we were SO pleased by the whole experience. Also, the towel animals in the bathroom on the first day were adorable!

“Byblos is a real keeper.”

We rented one of the bungalows (# 2) and thoroughly enjoyed the deck overlooking the wooded valley below us. In fact, the tree just a few feet from our deck railing was an iquana highway of sorts. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was very good (a little pricey for lunch). We didn't see the standard rooms so can't comment on those but they had a great bar area, too. Overall we would definately stay again.

“Highly Recommend”

The front desk staff was beyond amazing, the property is phenomenal, it's like being inside a nature park. Lots of lizards, monkeys, birds and these brown furry mouse beaver things. Would definately go back and would recommend to anyone. Close to transportation, the food was marvelous, the bar is fun too, lots of locals there.

“Very happy we chose this hotel”

Beautiful surroundings and grounds Troop of monkeys hang out there every afternoon. Loved the hotel, breakfast was the best of the 3 hotels we stayed at. Staff was great The only complaint is the bed, quite hard. I would stay there again. Tip, there is a great restaurant across the street and up the hill a little, Agua Azul.

“Lovely Stay”

Lovely property; great service by staff. Jungle bungalow was comfortable and well maintained. Green season rates in early December were a great value. Excellent breakfast included. Would stay there again.

“Monkey watching from bungalow balcony was best part!”

Area was much busier and more commercial than expected, with a long road of hotels and restaurants to choose from. The staff was helpful and the hotel was okay. Couldn't get change from hotel at all and no ice machine (but bar staff was more than willing to supply). The breakfast was unimpressive, with a couple of options made to order (no substitutions without charge). The best part was watching the monkeys swing in the trees each afternoon and even more so when it rained! Park was fantastic, less than 5 minute drive on the same road. Town of Quepos also a 5 minute drive in other direction, though not a thrilling area.

“Awesome Rainforest Property!!!”

I would go back to Byblos again. Great location and the monkeys!!! Rooms were clean and had everything to make our stay awesome. A plus-the top floor in the hotel section of the property has ocean views.

“Best Monkey Watching in the area”

Having never been to Manuel Antonio before we chose this from the internet search. After talking with people on the beach and touring around town on our rented scooter, I think we made a great choice. No one else we spoke with had the wonderful experience of monkeys soaring through the treetops or listening to the howler monkeys every so often. Great closeup photos of the darling spider monkeys with babies attached when they came down to the pool/restaurant. The breakfasts were fantastic- cooked to order breakfasts were included with our room price. The staff was very helpful. Our scooter wouldn't start one morning and 3 different staff came over to try to help. When we all exhausted our attempts they called our rental place to have someone come to replace it. Don't let the "casino" part put you off if you have kids - it is a small room you don't even need to walk by. One thing to note is there are a lot of steps to climb to get to your room and down to the pool/restaurant and we did not see an elevator. Even I found myself getting winded running back and forth and I'm a runner. Overall, we recommend Byblos (except for anyone with physical disabilities - it is too hard to get around).
