“Convenient with stunning views”
Stunning views of long low clouds hanging over the lake, golf course and Remarkables. Clean, up to the minute, well designed multi-level apartment with gas fire and underfloor heating. These apartments won an environmental award. Computer business alcove in entrance was useful. Kitchen was very well equipped. Large plasma TV was a star attraction and another in the bedroom. We would have liked access to SKY NEWS as one choice among many pay TV channels. Traffic noise may bother some but I wasn't aware of it in the apartment. Five stairs in apartment may affect toddlers or those with a movement disability. I enjoyed sitting on the outside balcony overlooking the lake and watching the boats, golfers on most picturesque golf course in the world, small planes taking off and the comings and goings of Queenstown. We also played golf on the golf course.

The apartment was spacious, modern and very clean. It had amazing views across Lake Wakatipu to the mountains beyond. There was plenty of hanging space for clothes and it was great to have a computer in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was some traffic noise, but not loud enough to keep us awake at night. The most annoying noise was the bathroom fan. It was really loud and we could even hear our neighbours fan very early in the mornings. All in all though we had a very pleasant stay and would probably stay again.
“Elegant Relaxation”
My husband and I needed a place to stay in Queenstown before and after a long 10-day treck. We choose the large suite option for two nights prior to our hike which gave us lots of space to organize our gear and repack what we were leaving behind. We opted for the single room "studio" at the end of our hiking to save a bit and were still very happy with the accommodation. Gratefully, Pounama let us store our luggage while we were away. The staff were very helpful, it is only about a 15 minute walk to the heart of Queenstown, and parking is secure and on-site. Even though the units all face the main road in and out of town, they are elevated above the road and have fabulous views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Road noise was negligible. Getting to the airport (dropping off a vehicle before our hike and picking up one after) was a breeze as the bus stops less than a block away. The excellent kitchen (larger unit) and washer/dryer (both units) were expescially nice. I recommend Pounamu Apartments for anyone appreciating a touch of elegance in a soothing environment when staying in Queenstown.
“Beyond our expectations!”
We knew nothing about the facility until we arrived, only what was said on Trip Adviser. It was beyond our expectations. The apartment was immaculate and staff was friendly and helpful. Parking on site was a plus. The view from our apartment was breathtaking. Easy drive or walk into Queenstown proper. I would highly recommend Pounamu Apartments for a short or long term stay.

Staff extremely helpful, hotel only 15 minute walk to Queenstown center. Best value in Queenstown I'd say. New, and very well appointed.

Great location right outside of the the town centre. Staff is wonderfully kind and helpful. The studio is a great space for a couples or singles.

“No complaints - nice place, nice price”
Got a great deal on Expedia for a Studio room. Nice location 15 mins walk from the 'downtown' area. Friendly helpful staff. Nice place for the price. Can't complain really. Minor points were super slow (almost unusable) internet and fuzzy tv reception on some channels. However, I've found both issues to be more common than not.
“queenstown spectacular views”
best views of the holiday looking out on a superb view make sure you book right and get the whole appartment we upgraded but it was worth it for the views
