“Will go back when I visit Queenstown again.”
Hotel might need to consider with upgrade the lift... it's seens not reliable - too old.
“Where are you?”
Had difficulty finding the place - the name had changed and no numbers were clearly displayed for us to find the place. The only way we did was from memory of the photos from the net. Was a little frustrating, especially as it was New Year's Eve!!!!! Car parking is also q little limited - disappointing. The room itself was fine, clean and roomy.
“Great beds”
The beds are amazingly comfortable. I wish I could buy one! The hotel is a bit old but the rooms are very clean and tidy with everything in working order. We stayed in a normal room and an apartment. I would highly recommend the apartments if you are staying for a few days as they are well equipped and spacious.
“Good hotel, dissapointing staff”
The staff were not really friendly or helpful.
“Lack of consistency”
Hi, Both of us work in hospo as managers, it seamed there was a lack of communication between staff members, we had to ask on one occasion three times for the breakfast order sheet for the morning, the first was forgotten and then we got given the wrong one and had to ask again. Our breakfast menu was different every day, it was explained later that there are two for different hotels (not sure why we were given the one from the other hotel?) One morning we got two croissant one morning and only one the next, our breakfast was cold on two occasions and didnt get what we had requested. Answering the phone would be good also .. had to call three times to get room service. The staff were friendly but it felt we needed to promt them to do their jobs. Room service was great although we started off with two towels each and only ended up with one each by the 2nd day. Cups and saucers that were in the room on arrival were not replaced after they were taken away.
“Good mexperience”
Apart from the hotel changing its name to Copthorne between the time I booked and arrival so that I couldn't find the Kingsgate, everything else was very good.

“Good hotel a bit far from town”
We had a great stay here and the staff were very helpful. However it is a good 15 mins walk from town, and on the way back you have to walk up the big slope, better take the bus.

better than it looks from outside, best to book with balcony and no windows can be opened in other rooms, otherwise fine.
