“Tired looking motel”
We expected a nicer room for the price we paid. No microwave in the room - it was in the guest lounge. The room's patio door lock did not inspire confidence and neither did the room's front door lock. There was no view from our room - except into another room. We took our wine to the motel's front deck through the guest lounge for an excellent view of the lake - lucky for us we were the only ones on the deck as there was only one table to sit at - and that one looked like it was really an indoor table that was set outside. The hotel is a steep climb up the hill if you're walking.
“So-so”
Reception was helpful and the service was friendly and efficient. The Comfort Inn is a looking a little tired, and perhaps need a cosmetic sprucing up. The hallways were a little dreary due to the low ceilings and fluorescent lighting. The rooms however were spotless. We did have a problem with the showers, they were either skin searing hot, or icy cold, with very little inbetween. We would spend three minutes fiddling with it before we could jump into the shower everyday. It's also located on a steep hill, to be expected in a Queenstown, but for the less sprightly, who only intend to get around Queenstown on foot, it may be wroth looking for something else.
