“Nice accommodations for price”
We decided to stay near the airport since we had an early morning flight to Detroit. From the Quebec Cruiseport to the hotel, it cost us a $35 taxi ride (not including tip). There was a Chinese food restaurant next door, which appeared to be busy, although we did not eat there. We had to walk about a mile to get to any other restaurants that were open. It cost us an additional $15 to get to the airport the next morning (not including tip). There are closer motels to the airport but if you want a quiet place and not concerned about taxi fares, this place would suffice.
“Not impressed”
The staff was not friendly. They could not even crack a smile. I did not know what time the breakfast was at and went down to the front desk. First I had to look for the girl who was sitting in the lounge area watching utube on her laptop. She was annoyed to have to turn it off, then was rude when answering 2 simple questions. There were not always towels in the pool area and had to be requested at the front desk. However, the pool with waterslide was a hit with the kids and the manager was competent and friendly.
“Inexpensive in the suburbs”
Generally pleased with the Super 8 chain, which has offered me reliable comfort for a family, with microwave, fridge, breakfast, and often a pool at reasonable rates. Got a good rate on this newer hotel, which has one of the new waterslide/hot tub pools. Was surprised at how far out it was - took a while to get to know highways. Front desk was very helpful, despite pressure of being completely full for a long weekend. Found room noisy - fridge, next door heating unit, and lighting insufficient. Just a little too basic. I'd go back, but first check to see if something else might be available at a similar rate.
“Comfortable”
Paid in advance. Although we arrived after 10 p.m. the hotel was expecting us and our room was ready. The parking lot is in an inconvenient location, at the back of the hotel. It was raining when we arrived forcing us to walk back to the lobby. Room comfortable. We missed breakfast in the a.m. due to an early departure. Only problem at hotel was computer for guest use was broken so we were unable to download on boarding pass.
“not impressed”
The room that we got was smelling so bad of pee especially in the bathoom.W asked the front desk to change our room but she did not,instead she said she will send someone to spray some airfresner but that too did not happen ,could not sleep all night .The front desk was not at all friendly it seemed they are forced to be there.Not worth the money I paid could have gone to someting better with that same rate
