“Nice accommodations for price”

We decided to stay near the airport since we had an early morning flight to Detroit. From the Quebec Cruiseport to the hotel, it cost us a $35 taxi ride (not including tip). There was a Chinese food restaurant next door, which appeared to be busy, although we did not eat there. We had to walk about a mile to get to any other restaurants that were open. It cost us an additional $15 to get to the airport the next morning (not including tip). There are closer motels to the airport but if you want a quiet place and not concerned about taxi fares, this place would suffice.

Area recommendations

I would recommend staying at a hotel in the Old City that provides a shuttle to the airport. The Chateau Frontenac apparently is used by the cruise lines for stays in Quebec.

Old Quebec City. Very historic place with lots of restaurants and things to see.

“Overnight near airport”

Mall across street was misleading. Mall across street was 3 blocks down to a signal light and a block over. The chinese restaurant next door was excellent, but other reseraunts were as far away as the Mall. Motel was convenient to the airport by cab, cleen and friendly.

“Close to the airport”

If you are looking for a hotel close to the airport, this hotel is a good choice. Took us only 10 minutes to get to the terminal, albeit it was 5 a.m. in the morning. The room is big, but it is absolutely basic. You don't even get a kettle or a coffee maker. There isn't much within walking distance; you have to drive to get to a grocery store or a market.

“Convenient, clean and reasonable”

Rooms were clean and comfortable, pool was a little small but good for kids with a water slide and other water games. Continental breakfast was excellent. We stayed just one night because of an early flight from the airport the next day.

Old town, but don't bring a car, everything is within walking distance.

“Comfortable”

Paid in advance. Although we arrived after 10 p.m. the hotel was expecting us and our room was ready. The parking lot is in an inconvenient location, at the back of the hotel. It was raining when we arrived forcing us to walk back to the lobby. Room comfortable. We missed breakfast in the a.m. due to an early departure. Only problem at hotel was computer for guest use was broken so we were unable to download on boarding pass.

Old Quebec City is very pleasant although restaurant prices and hotels are pricey.

“Inexpensive in the suburbs”

Generally pleased with the Super 8 chain, which has offered me reliable comfort for a family, with microwave, fridge, breakfast, and often a pool at reasonable rates. Got a good rate on this newer hotel, which has one of the new waterslide/hot tub pools. Was surprised at how far out it was - took a while to get to know highways. Front desk was very helpful, despite pressure of being completely full for a long weekend. Found room noisy - fridge, next door heating unit, and lighting insufficient. Just a little too basic. I'd go back, but first check to see if something else might be available at a similar rate.

Area recommendations

Old Quebec is justifiably famous. This time I visited Ile d'Orlean which had superb views of Quebec and surrounding area - would definately take people there. Also went to Grosse Ile from Berthier sur Mer - fascinating glimpse at immigration into Canada. Well worth the day.

“Very Satisfied”

We had a fantastic time in Quebec City. We visited old Quebec every night for walking, dinner, wine, etc. We went hiking at the Canyon (45 min drive)at Mount Ste. Anne, the Aquarium, Circus d’Sole, Titanic museum and more. Lots of fun, will definitely go again. We stay for 4 nights. This location was approx ½ the price of staying at room in old part of Quebec. Even with having to pay for parking in old Quebec, it was still lots cheaper. Parking at this location was included, other places charged extra. Continental breakfast was also included, but busy. This location also included a mini fridge which we found useful. Included a pool, etc. which we never used, really only there for sleeping. Approx 20 min drive to old Quebec, but would use this location again. Place was clean, service was great.

“Super8, Quebec city”

Very nice place to stay. The room was clean, washrooms are also very clean. Air-conditioning was good. The staff was friendly. The only thing which I found not good was the size of the refrigerator inside the room. It was extremely small. You put 2 cans of soft drinks inside it and it become full. The swimming pool was very nice too. I recommend this place to every one.
