“Great hotel, good location, get a top floor, view!”
This hotel is not the quaint, old-style you may think of when you think of Quebec City; however, what it lacks in old-world style and charm, it more than makes up for in service and cleanliness! Our only disappointment was that, when i did my Expedia search, I specified a hotel with a pool, and I should have specified pool in the winter season! The Loews Concord has an outdoor pool, which was not useful for our winter stay! Other than that, staff was more than helpful, and our dog was most welcome. (There were lots of other dogs there too, which was the first time I had seen that.) The concierge was helpful with ski information (Le Massif was an easy 50 min drive away, and although icy during our visit, breathtakingly beautiful!). Valet parking was worth it for us, especially since they did all the work of scraping all the ice from our car after an overnight storm. Really, the only negative was the pool, and perhaps i could have done my homework a bit more thoroughly. My parents stayed in a "quaint little old-style hotel" 3 doors down (Hotel Grande-Allee) and wished they had stayed in our hotel. Don't let my tales of cold and ice scare you off; Quebec City is lovely any time of year! Restaurant tip: rue Cartier, just west of the hotel, has lots of great places to eat. We LOVED Hy Li (not sure of the spelling) a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant, run by a charming man, with his wife as chef. Bring your own wine! It's on the east side of rue Cartier.

We have stayed in the Loews le Concorde on several occasions and have always been impressed by the excellent value, quality staff and the hotel itself

“Great hotel for concert goers”
We stayed at the hotel during the Quebec city summer festival. Everything was great and the hotel staff went above and beyond and we were even able to check in earlier than promised. Great location only a couple of blocks from the concert site at battlefield park.
“All-around great Quebec hotel”
Well-located, next to the beautiful Battlefield Park and just up the road from dozens of the city's best restaurants. Very clean and comfy, with a very pleasant service staff and a great patio pool. Friendly to English speakers!
“Best kept secret in North America”
Nice, clean, well kept hotel. I generally hate being around dogs, but their presence did not bother me a tiny bit. Hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful. The city must be the best kept secret in North America. It's charm rivals Prague and Vienna. We parked the car and had no reason to use it for the entire stay. Everything is within a walking distance. The biggest challenge is which restaurant to chose from the abundance of superb establishments. We were most impressed with the Inuit Art Gallery. It's a gem. In addition, there are numerous gift stores with authentic native artifacts. Walking the cobblestone streets of Old Quebec is an experience I will never forget. Can't wait to visit it again.

“Premier location along Le Grand Allee”
My family and I were extremely pleased with the service and the location of the hotel. It was only a 10 minute walk from Quebec's historical city with in the wall and from the Citadel. We were also impressed with its location near many fine Grand Allee dining establishments. The hotel was clean, service was friendly and staff were well versed in English and French. My only concern is parking, which can get quite expensive if you drive to Quebec -- the hotel's daily rate is $21 Canadian a day for guests.
“Can't wait to go back”
A great hotel location. Very central. A 10 min. walk to the old city. So great bistro's and bars right outside the door of the hotel. Only down side was the restaurant at the top of the hotel, L'Astral. The view was great, service was good, however, food was so-so and expensive. If you go to the restaurant, be aware you are paying for a great view not great food.
