“Great location!”
I've stayed at L'Intendant for 2 nights with my partner. We booked a basic 2bedroom but we got upgraded to a gorgeous big room with a giant bed and another double bed,on the first floor with a great view! The host is a nice man,who makes you feel welcome in his place!The breakfast was absolutely lovely-fresh orange juice,bowl of fresh cut fruit,a warm croissant and a huge crepe with 3 different confitures. It's a lovely place to stay,very clean and welcoming. The location is great-the bus/train station is not even a 2 minute walk. You are very close to the old town&surroundings. I would definitely stay here again!
“3rd rate hotel at a first rate price”
When I booked the hotel, I expected a nice room with all the usual comforts.... What I got: no phone, no tv, no alarm clock, no coffee maker, no fridge...well, easier what the room had...a lamp and a bed plus some old closet.,,,which reminds me...the room was closet size. The owner was bossy and tried to tell me what to do with my time in Quebec City in a not so friendly tone of voice...gave me grief because I skipped breakfast and tried to convince to book a 3rd night so I could take a shower after I ran the marathon. Would not offer a late check out instead. The room was not all that clean with the paint peeling in area. He gave me a code so I could use the wi-fi and the best signal I got was poor when I got one at all. I even had to share it with some cockroach, At the price he charges, you would definitely expect much better quality. If what I paid was the Expedia discount, I'd hate to see his regular price. Avoid at all cost. You'll get better quality at the youth hostel for 1/3 of the price.
“THE WORST ROOM I EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE”
I EXPECTED THREE STAR HOTEL BEFORE I WENT TO THIS PLACE. HOWEVER, IT WAS MUCH WORSE THAN MY EXPECTATION. CAN NOT COMPARABLE WITH OTHER THREE STAR HOTEL. DIRTY ROOM, OLD FUNITURES AND TERRIBLE SERVICES. IF YOU EXPECT REGUALR HOTEL SERVICES, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. IF YOU WANT TO SPENT HOTEL PRICE FOR COUNTRY SIDE MOTEL SERVICES, GO AHEAD.
