We spent 4 nights at the hotel, while enjoying a fall weekend getaway. Prior to our arrival, we'd been in contact with Annie-Nicole, the concierge, who was superb and very responsive in securing tickets for specific venues of the International Jazz Festival, as well as reservations at a wonderful series of restaurants. The setting in lower town was ideal, with excellent proximity to fine restaurants, art galleries, and the best shopping in the city, also away from the crush of tourists elsewhere in the city.

The Hotel du Vieux is perfectly located for those who want to be in the "old city" of Quebec without "old" defining the condition of the hotel you stay in. This is a lovely small hotel, immaculately kept, with very comfortably sized, clean rooms and wonderful beds. The staff were very helpful, and there is a nice sitting area with 24 hr. coffee and tea available. Just a short walk up the hill towards the Frontenac or down into the original settlement at the river's edge.
They serve croissants in your room if you wish, or there is a nice little breakfast place just up a block from the hotel if you want more than Continental. We would absolutely return there.

Rooms and decor are very contemporary. Two comforable lobbies, one with daily complimentary tea, coffee, and seasonal flavored water. The included breakfast was very satisfying. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The stay was the best we had on our cross-country road trip. Very affordable with a gourmet fresh breakfast each day which left us energized and sunny all over. The woman who runs this Bed and Breakfast was kind and very welcoming, the room was simple and the bathroom was very clean. Felt like a cross between staying at your favourite aunt's house and visiting a private breakfast cafe. Within ten minutes driving of excellent hiking and biking trails- and the stunning Basilica was well worth the visit. A great option for staying in Quebec city if you are interested in seeing the surrounding area as well! I heartily recommend to everyone I know and will be back.

We had a conference in Quebec City and were looking for a hotel close to the Chateau Frontenac, the conference center. We found the Auberg Place De'Arms directly across the street with a nice restaurant on the first floor. This included a wonderful breakfast each morning (included). Our room was on the top floor (Loft Room), it was really large and had a ton of character. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is also only a few minutes walk down the hill to Old Quebec.
