Clean, quiet and friendly.

Pros: Proximity to Laval campus, great price, friendly staff.
Cons: Possibly just the time of year, but heat/cooling was difficult to set to be comfortable.
Location: I had business to do on the Laval campus, which is across the street. There is also a city bus that takes you straight to the old city of Quebec.
I was travelling for business, so I picked the hotel for price and location. I speak some French but the staff were very comfortable speaking in English. Check-in was quick and easy, the lady that processed me was very friendly. My room was on the 3rd floor, right across from the ice and pop machines. The room was very large and clean, but a little dark. My impression is that the building is quite old, but has been kept in good condition. While my main room seemed older, the bathroom looked newly renovated. The vanity was a little small: I could barely fit my own bathroom items, but the shower was nice and there was good water pressure and lots of hot water. My only major gripe about the room was that the heat was very inconsistent. There was a unit under the window to control heating/cooking and while it was about 10C outside, even with the heat on minimum, it was too hot in the room. If I turned the heat off, it would get too cold. I preferred it like this since the blankets were nice and warm. There is a pool and "lagoon", area which I didn't use, but it looked clean. There is also a Boston Pizza which is connected to the hotel. I ate there a couple of times with nothing to complain about. Overall a few hallway areas where there was scratched or peeling paint, but I couldn't care less about that. For the price this was a fine hotel that I would stay at again.

Confusion.

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Our bus drivers had to explain their need for a longer stay to every hotel receptionist during their 4 day stay. It was not recorded any where, (even tho it was booked previously) Our busdrivers had to pay a 2nd time for their extended stay. Our busdrivers even had to change rooms 2x. Not a pleasant experience.

I liked the situation, the swimming pool, the kitchen in the room. I had a nice stay that I would recommend for a stay in Quebec

It is inexpensive, but maid staff was very poor, wifi almost unusable, room decor old.

Will not return

Pros: It was close to Quebec City.
Cons: Clean and update the rooms. Clean the carpets on the stairs and hallways...they were disgusting.
The hotel room seemed dirty and was in desperate need of updating. The hotel staff were aloof. The pool was nice, but very small and not great for children. I would not book this hotel again.

Road construction, interesting lay out, good price

Road construction made it difficult to get to the first time, but we got the ins and outs quickly. It seems to have been at one point a motel style (external corridors and room doors). External doors were sealed and covered over. Price was a plus and reasonably close to Quebec City. Staff was attentive.
