“Convenient access to old town”

We recently stayed at this hotel during the Quebec City 400 year anniversary celebration. The entire area was completely booked, so we stayed at this hotel as a last resort. We were unsure of how it would turn out, but were pleasantly surprised. There is a bus stop right across the street that provides quick and easy access right into the heart of the old town. The hotel itself was clean and was not scary as we had feared. The shower was wonderful - great water pressure. While we didn't stay in the deluxe rooms, they looked extremely nice and newly renovated.

Nice comfortable place to stay with excellent service. Pool and spa facilities were wonderful after a long day's drive. Front desk staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was quiet and met all of my expectations. The restaurant on site was great and reasonably priced. Would have liked a drink of wine with dinner but it was a bring your own wine establishment. I will return again.

Hôtel bien situé (central mais pas trop), quelques petits restaurants aux alentours. Très propre. Piscine intérieure très appréciée par les enfants. Chambre un peu chaude même avec l'air climatisé.

We found that Hotel Universel offered us comfort and good value. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The service and food at the restaurant was excellent. We will not hesitate to stay there again.

globalement avis favorable malgres des petits soucis notement avec le bain que nous n avons pas pu nous servir du fait que le bouchon ne fermais pas ce qui nous a obliger a prendre une douche tout les jours, un gars de l entretien est bel et bien venu mais sans aucun resultat...... autre petit point negatif est la difficulte a imprimer des documents a l hotel, car pour sortir nous regardions nos itineraires sur internet et les sortions si besoin etait, on a reussi a trouve une solution avec la receptionniste qui faisait le necessaire, par contre chaque feuille imprimee est une feuille facturee 10ct (certe c est pas tres cher mais bon c est le seul hotel via expedia qui nous a facturer nos rares pages que nous sortions) tres positif, la piscine, le sauna, le hammam, le jaccusi et surtout la masseuse qui realise son travail a merveil a un prix tout a fait abordable

“nice stay in Quebec”

Only setback is that if you book a trip there, you are in front of the stadium of the college football team and it took me 30 mins in my car to travel a few lights to the hotel. Its only one game every 2 weeks in the fall but it was during my stay

Our room was exactly as described on Expedia. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Hotel staff were bilingual and very helpful. Note to fellow travellers that if you arrive after 9 PM on a Sunday there are very few places to dine in the immediate area.
