Very nice hotel, good location for what we needed.

Posted 13-Apr-2014
Pros: Loved the queen size beds and loved that it had a heated pool, hot tub and its own Boston Pizza on the premises.
Cons: We would have liked a continental breakfast to be included and/or a small stove and fridge- type kitchenette to have meals in. Eating out added up.
Location: It was close to where our daughter and son-in-law live with our new grand daughter. It had 2 grocery stores close to it, as well as fast food places.
We had a few instances when the parking lot was very crowded and we could hardly find a parking spot. Of course we were there on a weekend and some of the cars might have been people eating at Boston Pizza.

Old with a modern twist!

Posted 24-Mar-2014
Pros: Pool area and how quite it was.
Cons: Access to room areas. If you park in the back of the building you have to climb a set of stairs then walk down a long hall way to the rooms.
Location: Location is near most restaurants and attractions. Nearby is old Quebec City.
I stayed one night for business and I enjoyed my stay. The pool area is this hotels strong point. I also enjoyed how quite it was during my stay. I found the bathroom on the small side and it is missing an area to put a travel bag or shaving kit.

Disappointed

Posted 16-Mar-2014
Pros: Boston Pizza
Cons: The carpet in the lobby's staircase has to be changed. It is soooo dirty!!!
This motel should be rated a 2 star. It is dirty, staff was rude, pool is really small. Don't be fooled by the nice pictures of the pool! The only good thing about this motel is the Boston Pizza!

Noise, Restaurant, cleanliness, plug-ins

Posted 27-Feb-2014
Pros: The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. We felt sorry that they had to work in such poor surroundings.
Cons: Better lighting and electrical outlets in the rooms, quieter housekeeping staff briefings, better cleaning of rooms.
We would have liked to have known before arrival that the restaurant wasn't open. The housekeeping staff met each morning in the small room directly across from our room. They chatted and laughed in this room for over half an hour and then continued to create noise. One suggestion, they could have closed the door to their room and they could have talked quieter. Laughter was not appreciated when we were still trying to sleep. Our room wasn't clean. We had read in a review about someone finding a used Q-tip in their room and we thought this was far-fetched. But no, there was a used Q-tip on the floor in our room, plus a used container from a fast food restaurant was between the bed mattress and the wall. We found this when we were searching for an electrical plug-in for our computer. Free wi-fi but only two plug-ins in the room, so plugging in your computer is pretty much impossible. One plug-in had the TV, the fridge (yes, thankful we were able to get a fridge because it was needed to keep medical supplies), and a lamp -- already over extended. The other plug-in was also over used with a clock, a lamp and something else plugged into it. In order to use the iron and ironing board, we had to unplug the lamp. Try ironing in the dark! The place to hang up clothing was very poorly planned. It was raining out when we arrived, so we needed to hang up our wet rain coats, plus our good dress clothes for the events for the next day squished on one small rack.

Winter Carnival 2014

Posted 17-Feb-2014
Pros: Wont return next year
Location: good area right next to the university. Lots of dining options.
Very loud...children running and playing in the hall past midnight...2nd night the people in next room were fighting so loud they seemed like they were in our room. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here during WC and I chose it because of the nice pool area but I didnt have an opportunity since there was hundreds of kids invaiding the space. Also last year we had breakfast included...this year it was not.

Next to the Quebec bridge

Posted 8-Feb-2014
Pros: The people really, in the hotel and in the restaurant.
Cons: The carpet in the main strairway is a bit old.
Location: Right at the entrance of Quebec, you have all the old city to enjoy.
The personnel was very cordial. The pool room in the green house with the trees and everything, this was very nice. We enjoy very much having diner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was extraordinary. It was only for one night and it made us wich to stay longer.
