Hôtel & Suites Normandin offers 136 air-conditioned accommodations with iPod docking stations and DVD players. Beds feature triple sheeting and premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. 37-inch LCD televisions come with cable channels and free movie channels. Guests can make use of the in-room refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee/tea makers. Bathrooms include handheld showerheads and rainfall showerheads, makeup/shaving mirrors, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers.
Rooms are equipped with wireless Internet access. Business-friendly amenities include desks and ergonomic chairs, as well as phones; free local calls are provided (restrictions may apply). Additionally, rooms include irons/ironing boards and ceiling fans. Hypo-allergenic bedding and wake-up calls can be requested. Housekeeping is provided daily. Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in January 2011.

“good cost-benefit”
The rooms are very good, beautiful and comfortable. Very good breakfast for Canadian standards. Is not near to old Quebec, but it is easy to go there by car. For the price I paid it really worth it.
“Easy Highway Access”
The hotel was being renovated during our visit. It is roughly a 15 min drive to Old Quebec City or downtown Quebec City. The room was nice and the wifi complimenrary. The continental breakfast was as expected.

Don't let the fact this hotel is not "right downtown" deter you. It had pretty much everything we were looking for. The free breakfast had a great selection, and the staff were excellent..always asking if you needed a coffee refill etc.. The room we had was really modern and very clean. The front desk staff spoke both English and French, which was helpful for my wife and me (our kids are in French Immersion, so they got to practice French too). They had lots of literature on nearby attractions and were wiling to call and give you info. The free high speed internet was so helpful too. The Normandin Restaurant across the parking lot is open 24 hrs, which is very convenient and the food was good. The morning shuttle drops you off right in front of the Chateau Frontenac, so you're right down town where the action was, without having to drive there on a bunch of narrow , one-way, confusing streets. Then it picks you up at 4:00pm and brings you back to the hotel. The free parking at the Normandin was great too, as some places downtown charge $25-$35/day! Overall, we loved this hotel and would stay here again. Great value for your money. The one day it rained, so we spent time at a large mall very nearby with an indoor roller coaster and amusement park in it. There are also lots of other restaurants nearby. If they were to somehow put in a pool, it would be unbeatable..
“aROUND QUEBEC”
It is not in town, took about 10 min to Quebec city. Overall the hotel is nice. Our room was king suite (king bed and sofa bed), very good. The breakfast is pretty nice too. We also like the on site 24/7 restaurant. The only complaint I have is the smell in the hallway...I almost could not stand it up, but unfortunately we had to walk a bit long way to our room. Another drawback is that it does not have a pool.
“Surprised”
Due to a festival we could not book a hotel room in the Old City so we found the Normandin. We expected a basic, off-the-highway hotel but when we opened the door to our room we were surprised to find a very European, modern, chic suite. Loved the hardwood floor as carpet in a hotel room always bothers us. Clean lines, very pleasing design and it was a great find overall. Hallways were very modern. They have done a great job upgrading this hotel. Would definitely go back. They have a shuttle to the Old City but too early in the morning for us. One does need a car if playing tourist as cab fares are about $25 one way.
