The property was under renovation and it was not written anywhere when I booked. No elevator, 4th floor, no restaurant.

The hotel itself is nice but there is literally no where to pull off for check in. When I pulled off on the road a police officer screamed for me to move my car even though front desk told me I had 15 minutes to unload my luggage. Parking is about a block away and 25 dollars a day

Place was quite large and spacious. Staff were all very kind. Room was clean, place looks fresh, washroom clean. Room was a tad cold at night ... there was a tiny tiny heater but it is in the bathroom and couldnt heat anything up for the life of it, but the thick blankets was enough to keep warm throughout the night. Overall pleasant experience and would book again. Location is close enough to old Quebec and we just walked to the attractions. Some shops nearby if you need any items or food. Great place

I liked that there were a lot of food options nearby. It was also a 20 minute walk from the center all the touristy spots in Quebec. The hotel was very clean and the hotel staff extremely nice.

Nice, updated priperty with attentive staff. Fruit in the lobby daily, a metro grocery store is a 5 minute walk. 1km walk to old Québec or an 8 dollar uber ride. Overall this is a nice place to stay, we felt safe walking and we would stay again!

A fantastic hotel. The rooms are huge, very attractive and sparkling clean. Staff are very pleasant. Parking is in an underground, very safe garage. It’s a1/2 block away and across the street but you can unload/load right in front of the hotel. One thing we really liked was there were two swivel arm chairs in the room plus a sofa and lounge chair in the adjacent nook. Usually one gets one chair in a room at most hotels. The neighborhood is fine. It’s a 20 minute walk to the Old Town area. We can’t say enough about how much we liked this hotel.

The Hotel Royal William in Quebec City is located on a quiet street. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and modern. The beds are super comfortable, and the staff is helpful and polite. We were able to access our room early. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel!
Front desk service people were very friendly and helpful. They held our luggage before and after check-in and check-out and came to our room to help us work the television. Quiet hotel in good location.

Cozy and comfortable boarding. No hassle check in and the reception was kind enough to offer early check in. Walkable from railway station. Minor issues include hard to find potable water. While available near reception, a suggestion would be to provide jugs in each room or floor at the minium.

Rooms were updated and comfortable. Lively area. Quick Uber trip for $10 to old Quebec if you can’t walk the hills. Breakfast at Table over at Hotel Pur is a must.

Duvet was not provided to my bed thus I felt very cold the first night. Could hardly sleep. My wife and daughters bed had aa duvet but I didn’t know they had it. When I told the front office staff about it, instead of apologizing and providing me with a duvet for my 2nd night stay, he started arguing as to why I didn’t call the front desk and request it? I told him that I didn’t know until morning that duvet was an option. Anyways we were out for the day and when we came back in the evening, duvet was still not provided. I had to go downstairs to the front office to get it myself. Location and hotel itself was good but the gym was “meh”.

The room was beautiful and perfectly clean. The air was too cool when we checked in but the thermostat did not change the temp. There was no phone in the room, so we had to go down to the front desk. They were able to remotely change the temp through their computer. We were told we'd get a phone the next day. Later that night the electricity went out on one side of the room. Again, we had to go down to the front desk. Fortunately we had extension cords to plug in our CPap machines. The electricity was fixed the next day. The room temp was too cool again on the second day, so we had to make a third trip down to the front desk for them to adjust it via computer. We never did receive a phone for the room. John at the front desk during daytime hours was most cordial and helpful. He called a cab for us on a couple occasions and arranged for a cab at 4:00 am on the morning of our checkout.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It's wonderful to hear that the room was beautiful and clean, and that John at the front desk provided excellent service. However, I apologize for the inconvenience you faced regarding the thermostat and electrical issues. The lack of a phone in the room certainly added to the inconvenience, requiring multiple trips to the front desk for issues that could have been easily solved with a simple call. Your experience highlights areas where the hotel can improve, particularly in room amenities and functionality. Your feedback is invaluable and I hope the hotel takes the necessary steps to address these issues for future guests.
