“Conveniently situated”

This hotel/motel is conveniently situated between downtown and the airport. Hospitality couldn't be better. The people are very friendly and helpful in every respect. The room for two is spacious and clean (the hotel room! as for the motel room I read contrary reviews). The hotel room rate includes a imple breakfast (coffee, juice and two choices of croissant, muffin, bagel, fresh fruit cup, biscuit). They offer also free parking and free wireless internet (a plus!). Only drawback was the room air conditioner that was noisy and since it had to be on all night it pushed cold air toward the bed causing breathing problem for the sinus sufferer otherwise it was OK. I highly recommend it for the price! P.S...Everybody spoke English, contrary to the before attitude of having to try to speak French or you didn't communicate!

Area recommendations
A half block away you can get on a bus No. 80 that would take you to downtown in 15 minutes and run every hour even on weekends. The bus fare is $2.75/pp one way. From downtown, having obtained bus transfers, you could go anywhere in the city or while downtown you can purchase an all day bus pass for $6.85. From the hotel bus stop you can go to the airport but there's only one bus in the morning and one in the evening on a transfer going the opposite from downtown. The hotel offers a restaurant but is a bit pricey. There's a McDonald's and a SubWay across the street and beer and wine at the gas station next door to the hotel. The hotel restaurant and the sports bar, next door, offer live band and singer on weekends. Must see places are: Old Port area, the Citadel and Quartier Saint Roch (downtown is part of it) with all its palaces, curches, parks, monuments, a part of live antique French town with its streets, restaurants and souvenir stores to enchant you the way the European old cities do. Then you must see the Saint Jean the Baptist Quartier and its grand church in the style of Parise's Notre Dame. While at old port, don't miss the Farmer's Market (Marche') alongside the river and small marina. Only discomfort is the HIGH HUMIDITY! Everything else is EXPENSIVE!

“Good for its money”

It's okay hotel (not motel) for the money. Everything is a little old, but clean. Breakfast is a joke. A muffin and a fruit salad from a container are maximum that you can get with a coupon in the hotel cafe.

“Closish to airport.”

This is a fine hotel, just not close to Old Quebec but fairly close to airport. My husband and I stayed here upon our arrival to Quebec for one night because our b&b had no availability until the following day. It worked out fine. The restaurant was nice.
