“Cosy, convenient, friendly hotel”

Though we booked one of the cheaper rooms and had no view, our room lacked for nothing and was really cosy. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast excellent. Nowhere is far to walk in the old city and this hotel was as convenient as any. We will recommend to anyone planning to visit this fascinating city. Our only reservation is that the room was a little on the warm side and we needed the window open.

“Value for Money in Quebec”

We arrived at this hotel early morning after departing a cruise ship, hoping to check in our luggage. The reception staff said we could do that but went further and went out of her way to find a room that had been serviced already, so we could properly check in. This was indicative of our stay, the hotel was always helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was much more than we expected, and complimentary hot drinks were available all day. The hotel location was handy for sightseeing on foot, all of old Quebec being within a few minutes walk. Great central hotel at reasonable price

“Excellent rapport qualité-prix”

“Relax & Get Comfy at the Hotel Champlain, We'll Be Back!!!”

My wife and I had a wonderful 3 day getaway in Quebec City the second week in October, 2008. The hotel was clean, cozy and comfortable, and the front desk staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel is super convenient to most parts of the city, we walked everywhere, nice cozy restaurants nearby and the continental breakfast at the hotel was more than adequate. There is limited parking behind the hotel so reserve a spot when you make your reservation. There is also a comfortable lounge with newspapers, books, magazines and travel guides just off the lobby, even a computer with internet service too. We're sure to stay here again as this place is a hidden gem in a most beautiful city. Paul & Cathy T., Onset, Massachusetts

“Warn and comfortable”

We enjoyed our 8 day stay immensley. A very comfortable hotel in an excellent location in Old Quebec City. Our favourite task was making hot chocolate in the foyer. Friendly staff could not assist us enough. Thankyou Hotel Chapman and expedia for recommending it

“Detailed Review - of Hotel Champlain. Great place !”

November 2009 -The bedroom was neat and tidy - very clean, bathroom as well. We stayed in a Superior Suite. The Tv's in each room are Toshibas, flat LCDs. Very nice :) There is a iLuv i pod dock in the rooms. telephone, dvd player. There is a mini fridge. There were about 4 drawers to put clothing, and a single closet with hangers. The bathroom was nice and clean. shower head was chrome and extendable. Breakfast served 7-10 am. They provide the daily newspaper, wiFi, eggs, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, fresh fruit, toasts, croissants, cheese, waffles. The breakfast room is beautiful and inviting, and a radio plays french tunes , while you eat. There is a free espresso machine which does, hot chocolate, tea, cappuccino and espresso, anytime you like. The Lobby has free internet access, with one laptop. Towards the back of the main floor, there is a small room with vending machines and a microwave. The main desk also supplies rental dvd's for your room for 5$. The parking is not as small as some people say -There is def enough room if you know how to park your car right. L shaped lot around the building, 20 car spots. SUVs fit easy. %16/day. Gate closes at night. Ask front desk if you come in late to open. Front desk keeps your keys when you aren’t using car in case of emergency. If you are looking a nice warm inviting old style attitude place to come back to after your long days travelling around the city, this is what you want!

“We LOVED this hotel”

The staff were wonderful, the hotel was so charming and the location was perfect. It was as comfortable as staying in a bed and breakfast. We had our one year old daughter with us and felt right at home. If we ever go back to Quebec, we will definitely stay here.

“Hidden treasure”

In the heart of the old city on a quiet street! The rooms are a good size and well decorated. Nothing extravagant but clean and modern. Very pleasant staff! Parking on the premises is limited when hotel is full. Good value for the money. Have stayed there twice and would definitely go back there again.

Très satisfaits de notre séjour à l'hôtel Champlain (chambre standard). Idéalement situé dans le Vieux Québec. Petit-déjeuner copieux. Chambre confortable. Disponibilité du personnel de la réception. En résumé : nous le recommandons sans hésitation.
