“MEETS AND EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS”
You can keep the touristy, overrated and overpriced Frontenac. This boutique hotel is the crem de la crem of Quebec. The service is professional, competant and friendly. The lounge was comfortable and inviting. The room was very clean and well appointed. The gym was state of the art. The restaurant, Panache was pricey, but impecable service, a warm romantic atmosphere and food preparation that is the envy of a city known for its fine fare, made it seem like a reasonable value. The hotel is very conveniently located two blocks from the fenicular in a district lined with excellent cafes, boutiques filled with original one of a kind styles and the Museum of Civilization. It is also directly across the street from the port and the St. Lawrence River. It was an excellent home base for all of our excursions. We could not recommend this hotel any more highly and enthusiastically. It was worth the drive from New Jersey. We look forward to our return.
“A gem”
The Auberge Saint-Antoine lives up to its reputation as a world class boutique hotel. Its elegance is understated and not fully apparent upon entry into the plain but elegant lobby, with roaring fires in the public areas and colours, fabrics, and textures of very high quality. The rooms are gorgeous, with the most comfortable beds imaginable and posh down-filled duvets, pillows, and cotton sheets. The bathrooms are the classiest I've seen, with heated tile floors and the powerful shower and huge bathtub. My room had a beautiful, richly textured suede sofa, plasma screen TV, gorgeous work area, a bar, and suite of designer style closets both practical and elegant. It looked out onto a lovely and quiet courtyard; not the best view but the peace and solitude was perfect for my needs. I did not eat there so cannot comment on restaurants or food. On the down side, I found the concierge to be at first snippy and officious, but she made up for it afterwards. And several taxi drivers called were exceedingly rude. Even these fleeting un-pleasantries, though, did not diminish the overwhelmingly positive experience. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me when I needed a text printed urgently and guests can use the very nice business center free and 24/7. Along with the free WiFi and/or high-speed Internet connection, what more could a business traveler need? I definitely will go back to the Auberge Saint-Antoine, perhaps for a relaxing, winter holiday next time!
“Can't wait to go back-me, husband & 2 kids loved it”
Great lobby with 3 cozy fireplaces. Staff was very accommodating. Ruins throughout were terrific and there was a great deal of attention to detail. Our room was a bit snug with 2 kids but the staff turned the sofa into a bed for my 3-year-old.
“Perfect relaxing gateway week-end”
This hotel is very modern with recent and convenient facilities (large bathroom, cozy reading area, comfrotable beds...). It is extremelly well located (a lot of restaurants around and a walking distance from museums and Frontenac castle). Service is great and very responsive.
“New Year's to Remember!!”
My husband and I spent New Years weekend in Quebec City and this was our very first visit to this wonderful city. What made it even more special was staying at Auberge St.Antoine. Our room was cozy and excecptionally clean with crispy linen and a soft fluffy duvet. The bathroom was warm with its heated floor and along with its huge soaking tub it couldn't have been nicer. The view we had was of a little Christmas tree decorated with blue lights and against all the fresh fallen snow made it very festive. The staff was very friendly and helped us find a great place place to spend new year's eve since we had made no reservations prior to our arrival, always smiling and willing to help us in any way they could. The little touches, turning our bed down in the evening, the weather cards on our pillow with the forcast for the next day, the soft music playing upon entering our room so memorable. It was all so romantic. I will remember that New Years forever. Auberge St.Antoine will be my #1 choice hotel to recommend when visiting such a great city.We plan to return in Oct. We never had a chance to see the cobblestoned streets of old Quebec. It truly was a great weekend.
“Lovely hotel, fabulous location”
The location is perfect for visiting the old city, everything is but a short walk away. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated; there are many displays of archeological artifacts related to the site. Room was fantastic; shower was huge, well lit and had great water volume and pressure. Pebble-filled boot tray outside the room door was a very nice touch. Would go back anytime
“Couldn't of been better!”
Great Staff
“Absolutely wonderful!”
The location was terrific and the staff was very pleasant and accomodating. The room and hotel are very well maintained. It was the perfect place for our stay in Quebec City. Each time we walked in the lobby, we felt like we were returning home.
“Excellent Hotel - highly recommended”
Very friendly staff Nice modern rooms and atmosphere, with enough space. Had a great stay and would go back again.
“A Fabulous Boutique Hotel”
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Auberge St. Antoine. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. The hotel is situated right in the old city near the river. The room was attractive, clean, and very functional. The hotel interior looks beautiful - like a trendy museum with panache - which by the way is the name of their great gourmet restaurant.
