“Very Good Hotel”

A very good hotel with excellant shuttle service to local train station for travel into Venice and the surrounding areas. An amazing on site Fish restaurant, serving high quality food. Good breakfast selection for early mornings. Staff very hospitable, offering good local knowledge of things to see in the area. Also really good value pizzeria just round the corner. Hotel clean, and tidy, room very spacious.

“nice hotel though a bit odd in location, facilities”

Our room was very nicely appointed, with a wonderful king-sized bed, large balcony, and really spiffy bathroom (complete with bidet). All had been newly renovated. The grounds outside need attention, however, and the signage for the hotel was virtually impossible to spot from the road. Our GPS was off by a couple of hundred yards and thus it took a while to find the hotel. It is located in suburban Venice, about 2.5km from a train station that takes you in to Venice in 25 minutes. The hotel has train tickets available for both Venice and Padua and they provide free shuttle service to the train station. The breakfast was outstanding; individually brewed espresso and cappuccino was available and the room in which breakfast was served is beautiful, looking out onto a spacious (but poorly kept) garden. Internet access was wired and required a new password after four hours of use; this was free, but a bit of a nuisance as we stayed for four days. This hotel was exceedingly good value as booked through Expedia. The hotel seems to be doing a lot of renovation and perhaps that (plus the location) reduces their rates.

“A wonderful time in a peaceful hotel in a beautiful location”

A fantastic hotel, with friendly staff that go out of their way to make your holiday special. Me and my Husband spent 2 nights there and it was lovely. They are so helpful with arranging your travel into Venice and to and from the airport I would recommend this hotel to anyone Please note that if you are going to Venice you will need to take a small fortune with you. It is very pricey they draw you in by offering a tourist menu for 15 euro's but then charge you 11 euro's for a coke!!! If you want to save some money there is a coffee bar as you turn left out of the station. "Take a break" they only charge 1 euro 40 for a caffe latte compared to 4euro's and then you can use the loo for free!

“excellent service !!!”

This hotel is located around 25 minutes by train away from central venice. The hotel staff were excellent. They shuttled us to and from the train station for free, gave us the timetables and even sold the train tickets at reception (3 euros each way). They also arranged to collect us from the airport for 30 euros (cheaper than a taxi) . I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who doesn't mind a train ride into venice. It was great to escape from all the noise and hustle of the centre back to a quiet, spacious hotel. We travelled with our child who loved the train We found the hotel service to be excellent and all at a fraction of the cost of central venice.

“Lovely hotel conveniently situated for trips to Venice and Treviso.”

Extremely helpful English speaking staff - printed our train tickets for 20 minute journey to Venice and provided free shuttle service to station both ways. Nice buffet breakfast till 10am. No dinner facilities; they have their own up market restaurant a few yards away or you can walk to a choice of pizzerias nearby which were reasonably priced. Had to phone for shuttle service when we arrived at airport which was free but had to pay for a taxi to return as it was 5am! (35 euros) Had fun with hotel's complementary bikes one day - use the safe local cycle paths to go to Casale sul Sile and eat lunch outside at San Nicolo retaurant by the river - wonderful. Treviso is an elegant town 25 minutes away on the bus. Hotel is more often used by business travellers but the rooms were comfortable and clean and we were made to feel very welcome. There was a computer with free internet connection 24 hours a day just by the reception desk much to my husband's delight as he was able to check his e mails.

“Loved it!”

Even though the hotel was not close to Venice, the train ride every morning wasn't bad at all. Really liked the staff they were extremely helpful and really liked the room and the breakfast. It was very clean. The shuttle service was free to the train station, which saved us lots of money. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel. Totally recommend this hotel. Cons: BBC was the only English channel available in the hotel... no internet in the room. =(

“WOW !!!! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again.”

Getting here was the only issue I had with the hotel. It wasn't marked by signs anywhere, hopefully the directions that I have written below might help.. Otherwise WOW !!!! I've stayed at numerous hotels in my time and this one ranked as one of the best ever. Getting here is relatively easy. Take the A4 expressway and exit when you see the sign for Quarto d' Altino. Go toward the city center. When you see the grocery store on the right, turn left at the stop sign. Continue for about 1km, under the bridge, when you see the restorante Odina, take a right. The hotel is on the right.. The staff was exceptional, very helpful and friendly. They go out of there way to provide fantastic service in every aspect. If you speak english..... worry not, they have you covered. The breakfast was wonderful all four days that we stayed. The complimentary internet was nice to have. The staff provided a internet cord at no charge since the wifi was inconsistence. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit the Venice, Italy area. The ease of the train to the city was one of the many perks of this hotel, and they sold the train tickets at the front desk.

“Exceeded all our expectations”

We used the pre-booked hotel's taxi service (28Euros) from the airport and there was a small hitch because we did not know how to use international dialling codes properly - dial 00390422823777 - but the car was on time and the driver eventually located us. The receptionist spoke excellent English, gave us clear instructions how to get into Venice and other towns and answered all our questions patiently. The hotel is situated in pleasant, well-maintained grounds with a quiet river bank walk nearby and close enough to the small town's supermarkets, restaurants and other facilities to walk or use the free cycles. The associated restaurant provided excellent quality but for us the prices were more for a special occasion than for regular dining. We enjoyed our one meal there and for the rest of the week ate out at lunchtime and bought food locally for the evening. The free shuttle to and from the local station worked smoothly - leaving our hotel room at 9.30am we were in Venice at 10.20am. We also used public transport to visit Padua and Treviso and our lack of Italian was not a problem. Breakfast was excellent and included in the price. It was a cold buffet and included fruit juice, cereal, boiled egg, cheese, ham, bread rolls, fruit, pastries, yoghurt, tea, coffee etc. with some variation each day - substantial enough for a day's sightseeing. The well-equipped en-suite room was clean and had a private balcony with table and chairs as well as a table and chairs in the room.

“Pure Genius”

We were delighted with our 8 day stay. The best hotel if you want to see Venice. We found Venice stunning, but crowded. This hotel was a very welcome escape from the many tourists. Yes it is true that it is a short cab ride from the train station. But there is no cost to these if booked with the hotel's cab , and staff are very obliging. A fantastic experience and highly recommended.

“Perfect for our requirements”

As we needed to get a plane very early the next day, we looked for an hotel nearby the airport. The Park Hotel Plaza stood out for the great rates. Once we arrived, we were impressed by the kindness of the staff and the big and clean rooms (and ours was a standard room). If you need to go to Venice, the train station is nearby and it takes only 25 min. However, be prepared to pay 45 euros for the cab drive to the airport!
