“Quality hotel for an excellent price.”
This is a very nice hotel and the price is very reasonable. It's a 20 minute train ride to the Grand Canal but for ease of travel in getting to and from your hotel I would recommend it over staying on the island. I don't like to haul my luggage around on the public water taxis. They have an airport shuttle and the food in the hotel is very good with good variety. The hotel is in a very nice, quiet area called Quarto d Altino and the train stop is right behind the hotel. I would higly recommend this hotel for anyone going to Venice.
“Perfect location to catch quick train to Venice!”
This hotel is beautiful and nestled in a cozy little town near Venice, Italy. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the hotel, the cleanliness and comfortable, well appointed room. Sitting in a quiet neighborhood, the train to Venice is tucked right behind the hotel. There was, however, no train noise inside the hotel. It was so convenient to hop on the train to Venice and back. Then the relaxing comfort of the hotel was certainly welcome after a day of hustle and bustle. Great hotel.
“Love this hotel!”
This hotel is beautiful and very convenient for a day or two in Venice or to get to the airport. The train is directly behind the hotel - so a quick ride to Venice for a day or evening without worry about your car. We also stayed here last year without a car, were able to take the train to Venice for an evening then back to the hotel and then take the shuttle to the airport in the morning. Wondeful! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the property is lovey. Terrific rooms! Highly recommended.
“Well worth it”
Though it is a way out of venice itself the trains are extremely convenient and regular. The cost about 5 euros return make the hotel cost very good when this is considered against other hotels in venice. The staff were extremely helpful giving excellent advice and assistance. the complimentary shuttle to the airport was good too. Didnt eat at the hotel rather went into the village and ate locally which was good. All thingsconsidered the stay was very good no complaints just good memories.
“Will return.”
This hotel is in a residential area, and it was delightful to walk out of the hotel and get a first hand feel for a non-touristy neighborhood. There were plenty of neighborhood restaurants with reasonable prices.
“Best hotel stay in Venice area”
We have traveled all around Europe (some in Venice area) and this is the best hotel for the money that we have stayed in. A true 4 star even by American standards. The hotel is very convinent for reaching Venice. A short 1 minute walk will get you on a train headed for a 30 minute ride to the heart of Venice. Hotel staff was very helpful and guided us to a great local resturant. The hotel resturant was OK because we were exhausted and did not feel like driving to the area resturant, but I would not suggest eating there unless you are in a pinch. They have changed the A4 around, would suggest getting directions. GPS did not have the right directions. Overall a great experience and will tell all my friends about the great accomidations.
“Best Value in Venice!!!”
This hotel was fantastic! Hotel is in the beautiful countryside about 20 minutes from Marco Polo Airport. Rooms are large, super clean and comfortable, especially after a long transatlantic flight. Train is right behind hotel so is super convenient to take into the heart of Venice. Would definitely stay here again!
“Not on the Island But Worth the Train Ride”
I choose this hotel during our stay in the Venice area because I was travelling with a handicapped senior citizen as well as a rambunctious six-year old. I was leery of staying on the island of Venice because I did not want to try to navigate the canals and walkways under the circumstance. Choosing the Crowe Plaza was one of the best decisions I made. Our stay was wonderful and we still had the opportunity to visit Venice proper at our on leisure. My family stayed here both before and after a cruise. We received the most incredible service! They helped us figure out the best itinerary for visiting the island of Venice via train and water, drawing maps, providing timetables, and suggesting routes. All while keeping in mind that we were travelling with a young child (6 years old) and a 75 year old who uses a cane. They also helped me locate the local grocery store and the nearby mall. The food was great each day and the variety was outstanding. Yes, the meal was a bit pricey; but it was well in line with typical hotel meal pricing. And we did not mind as we always enjoyed the buffet. And the front staff was very helpful with respect to directing us to local eateries. I am a club member, so we stayed in the club rooms. They were very large – even by American standards. Well appointed, comfortable, and stylish. We enjoyed the robes and slippers, the loofah scrubbies, and the complimentary tea and coffee service. I would strongly recommend this hotel to others.
“Beautiful, convenient location!!!”
Very nice hotel, modern, roomy, comfortable and most importantly very clean!!! Hotel staff was very attentive and curteous and spoke good english. Not right in Venice but great location, train station is right behind hotel and do not worry you canno hear the trai go by. many restaurants within walking distance. Hotel staff provided us with a map from the area which indicated where all the restaurants were located and their specialty as well. Will definitely recommend if you are budget minded and don't mind the 20 min commute to the heart of Venice. I would rather stay out of the touristic are anyways is much less crowded and quiet.
“Perfect for families not wanting to stay in the city”
Everything was perfect. Large, clean room slept family of four comfortably. Liked it so much we went back for a few more days. Much different from most European hotels. Staff was very helpful with any questions. The location of the train station is directly behind the hotel...two stops to Venice.
