Located 25 km south of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya is the administrative centre of the government and a model garden city. The inspiring architecture and landscapes of this modern city make it worth seeing. Constructions of note include government buildings, bridges linking various precincts, landscaped parks, and shopping areas at Souq under the Masjid Putra and Alamanda. The centrepiece of the city is the Putra Lake that covers 650 hectares and offers dining cruise boats or tour trips on gondola-type boats.
