“very nice”
The staff was extremely friendly and the food was pretty good w/ alot of variety. I would definitely stay here again
“Occidental Grand Flamenco Punta Cana”
The hotel was beautiful. The resort consists of 20 or so buildings no higher than three floors each. The room was simply the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. Tile floor, ceiling fan, balcony, bar, fridge and sitting area - and this was the standard room as I understand it! The grounds cover a huge area so you never feel cramped even if the resort is full. Beuatiful grounds and spotless. The food was very good. Many choices-if you cant find something you really like then you are way too high maintenance. Every meal had numerous choices-fish, pasta, beef, chicken etc. We loved the food and couldn't understand why anyone would give it a negative review at all? The beach...ahhh the real reason to go to Punta Cana. The beach was awesome and beautiful. There was plenty of room for everyone. There were never enough palapas for everyone but we found we really didn't want one every day anyway. With all the palm trees on the beach there was always shade if you wanted it. We will return and you should have no fear booking this hotel.
“Outstanding staff, beautiful beach and facilities, lovely people”
My daughter and I just returned from the Occidental Grand Punta Cana Flaminco. We stayed Aug.12-Aug.16th. From the moment we arrived we were met by caring staff who worked with us to find one of our bags that had been left on the shuttle from the airport. Although we were very upset to realize the missing carry on with my daughters medication,in less than an hour, they located it and arranged to have a taxi deliver it to the hotel. We had no difficulty with reservations for dinner they booked three reservations at one time. And, although Italian was full we were still able to eat there by asking the manager for an unfilled reservation. He was kind and welcoming as were all his staff. The food was incredible. My daughter is a vegetarian and found many foods she could eat and enjoy. The variety and flavor were good, no one will go hungry for lack of good quality food. The beach was beautiful and relaxing. Few people spoke English but we were never at a loss getting our point across or understanding one another. Nightly entertainment was great with dancing, singing, and fabulous colorful costumes. The talent is unexpectedly fresh and fun. We were never once pressured about buying anything although several people asked. No is respected and understood. No thank you is even better. Very kind hearted people.
“Beautiful Beach”
I have stayed in Cancun at all-inclusive resorts 3 times in the past 5 years and this was a better deal and a better hotel. My family of 6 enjoyed the beautiful beach and the many pools. The view was the best I have experienced. The rooms were very nice. Employees were very helpful and I would love to go back sometime. Two of our family members were parents, two were early 20's and two were teenagers. We all enjoyed the food, the beach, & the pools. We did not see much of the shows, so not much to share there. There was a gentleman who came by the hotel in the mornings and he helped us set up our return ride to the airport. He said that he works with Expedia and he contacted us at the hotel several days before the departure. It worked out well.
“Trés bien”
Trés beau hotel... Le buffet est de qualité. Par contre il n'y a que les chambres RENOVEES qui sont impeccable. Les autres sont peu vieillotes. La plage est magnifique et spacieuse.
“It's always a pleasure”
Everything was done quickly and organized. This is our 4th or 5th visit. 2 were with the Royal Club. Everyone is accommodating and aim to please. This time, however, the food at the beach restaurant was not good. The food was a bit more salty than previously, Entertainment is always top notch. I think this time was just before their season gets busy. Beach is great. However, the oil residue from the small pleasure boats are too close to the swimming area. Prices for souvineers, jewelery (Larimar) too expensive compared to Cancun.
“Can't wait to go Back”
Let me start off by saying that i read a bunch of reviews on this resort before choosing it and i was a bit skeptical about it but let me tell you It was worth every single cent!! This place was wonderful. Plenty of Different foods to eat in there different restaurants and there buffets are great. I'll be totally honest there are probably hotels with nicer rooms (by the way it's the only thing that could have been nicer) but what really got me was the service the staff there is super friendly and at your service anytime for whatever you might desire. The grounds are beautiful and the beach was very clean(Dont't let the virtual tour fool you it is a sandy white beach with clear blue water)Also there is activities going on all day and there is a different show on everynight. after the show the party continues in the lobby and the night club is right on the resort i am telling you there is always something to do!!! I had a blast already planning to go back for my honeymoon in sept maybe i'll see you there!!!
“Great Bargain”
Beautiful grounds, beach and pool, friendly staff, well maintained. We didn't get to sample all the restaurants, as we were only there one night, but the buffet was good. Price wise, it was less than half of the resort we transferred to, but definitely not half the quality!
“Will definitely go back in future”
The resort was absolutely beatiful. Our room was ready when we got there (we moved to bldg 13 which was closest to the beach). The grounds were well manicured. I read mixed reviews about the buffet food as well as the different restaurants on site (need to make reservations). We had no problems, actually pretty good. The fruit was outstanding. Had eggs made to order for breakfast. Lunch was had at the beach buffet which was very good - different varieties. Dinner buffet at the main complex was different every evening and very good. We ate at 3 different restaurants. Service was a little slow at the Mexican one, but well worth the wait. The Oriental restaurant was fabulous - atmosphere and food. The beach was beatiful - always found a chair and many to be occupied. No wait hardly for drinks at the bar. Pools were gorgeous. Only spent 20 mins at it because we were always on the beach. Great place to go to relax.
“Very nice!”
This hotel was gorgeous! The grounds are in amazing condition, the beach is beautiful, and there is always food available (a nice change from other all-inclusive resorts we've been to). We didn't have a problem with the food and water down there- there is always plenty of bottled water. The restaurants were excellent and the drinks were wonderful. They only serve Presidente beer so don't expect Coors or Bud. I would recommend going on the excursions, they give you something to do during the day if you're not a beach person. There isn't much around the hotel, unless you want to walk into town (5 min away) and get haggled. The rooms were pretty decent- we had a great view of the pool and were right near the main area of the hotel (Bldg. 10). Most of the staff spoke English pretty well so there was no problem. Overall we loved this hotel and the Dominican Republic and would go back in a heartbeat!
