I was in this property like 3 times .and they didn't care at all.i told them i will pay just upgrade to biger room, they told me is booked. And half or rooms they was empty, and in restaurant wat was la gourmet, thet didn't let me to go in because i had short but fancy pants, lot of people they was going in,thans majestic

Beautiful resort but it is starting to show it's age. Probably due for at least a refresh, if not a full remod. The staff is probably one of the best i have ever had the pleasure to be around. Super friendly and will do everything in their power to ensure you have a great stay. I found the buffets adequate and plentiful. Went to the Japanese restaurant, which was top notch. The Rodeo Grill was also excellent. Our last nighr there, we went to the seafood restaurant and it was also good. The beach was beautiful and clean. There was plenty of lounges and shade for those that wanted it. Overall, an amazing vacation. Just be sure you arrive at the airport about 4 hours before your flight home. We arrived about 3 hours prior and did not have time to spare. Not sure if it is always that busy or if it was just that day.

I would highly recommend the Majestic Colonial Adult Club for couples. No complaints. Great location, food was as expected, rooms were spacious and clean, resort was very relaxing. Resort had a ton of options depending on what type of vibe you like. Will stay again!

This property was beautiful and well maintained. There are so many options for sitting, eating or walking. We enjoyed the food options, and felt that the buffet choices were exceptional. The pool made the resort unique. Expanding the length of the resort made for many entry points, kept it less busy and allowed you to go to quiet parts. Having it close the beach was awesome. The DR Celebration,Michael Jackson Tribute and Beach Disco were all fun nights of entertainment. A great resort. Will go backé

We had water leak in our room, they had limited choices when it came to dining we were placed on the first floor where the staff work area was so we had no privacy any staff member could look into our room.

The room service was great, the bed was comfy. The atmosphere was incredible. Our butler on the club side was the best, he setup the room with romantic stuff to surprise my wife for our anniversary. The pool is well kept and there is always activities going on for adults and kids.

This property was beautiful, clean, and the staff was friendly! The only downside to this facility was that while checking in, myself, and others were told that there was no room at the hotel we booked at, and that they were going to place us at one of their other hotels for the night, and would see if there was availability for the rest of our stay. However, in doing so, we lost a lot of time moving things back and forth that could have been used relaxing.

I would say the place was nice. First time here so not an expert. Personally we are a fan of Puerto Vallarta a little more. Food options were descent - I would not say excellent but good. Plenty of pool space I thought. Drinks were good. Beach was nice.

Travelled with our 2 kids 8-10 years. We stayed at an ocean view room with indoor jacuzzi. Room was lavish with a good sized balcony facing the ocean.Bit of old school charm to the rooms, may seem outdated if you aren’t a fan. Pros One of the longest pools running the length of the property. Plenty of bars to grab a cocktail without waiting more than couple minutes. Bar staff were great. Quite a few activities in the pool and beach side that kids can join in (pool exercises, dances, foam party..) Kids club at the front is a bunch of splash pools with slides, but quite fun for kids under 14-15. We never dropped ours off as there were no lifeguards, and the staff didn’t seem to hang around the pool. Beach was a bit wavy, but clean and we enjoyed it. Water activities can be purchased (parasailing, banana boat..) Cons Food while available and plenty, wasn’t great considering the length of the stay. Most buffets (main, international..) felt the same. Matsuri the Japanese restaurant was a welcome change (need to reserve a day ahead at least) Guest services was useless. Suggest that you read reviews like this else you’ll find it hard to learn about the property when you are there. If you have beachfront rooms, be prepared for a bit of walk to the front desk/guest services. No one picks the phone for any issues.

Cannot say enough amazing things about our stay at Majestic Colonial. The staff definitely made all the difference. Entertainment staff above all the rest. Activities for kids and adults alike. Beautiful beaches and pool. Thanks for a great stay!

The resort walkable. The restaurants had good food. Staff was enjoyable and the noise level was at the most minimal, not really noticeable.

The staff are absolutely amazing! Our butler Edwin was outstanding and our maid Lohanney went above and beyond! The resort looks spectacular on first glance but shows its age quickly. The food is plentiful and we could always find something edible to eat but i definitely didn’t have a single meal that I’d consider gourmet. The beach was absolutely spectacular but the lounge chairs and beach beds are definitely showing their age as well. Towels are not plentiful and they run out long before the 5pm time on the availability sign. Because of the food and wear and tear of the room I was in and many of the public areas I was in I only rate it 3 1/2. I would give the staff a 5 out of 5.

The property overall was nice. The food was great, the staff was helpful, the pool and beach were great. Everything was clean and maintained. The elevator continued to make noise all night and the a/c in the room could have been better. Also would have preferred the pool stay open another hour.

The resort was very nice but I have been to nicer. The pros: food was pretty good, pool/entertainment staff was very fun and friendly (have had better though), lots of beach chairs, nice ocean front restaurant, no seaweed. Cons: beach was very rough: chairs were very uncomfortable in all the restaurants (especially during the days with no cushions), lots of concrete on the beach under a thin layer of sand, paper thin beach towels, the resort was long and narrow which felt like everything was far away (been to a lot of resorts where the resort is more horizontal and felt like there were more ocean views from more places at the resort). Some of these cons are particular but in my eyes that makes a difference to me. Overall it is a very nice resort and if you only go to the carribean once in a while you would think this place was amazing but in comparison to a few others I have been to in the same price range I would chose others. The ocean was not easy to get into because it was so rough which was a big let down because that’s where I normally like to be on vacation. There are lots of places with the tile around the pool was broken and in need of repair. Many people I know have been here and have enjoyed it as I did, but I have been to others that I thought were superior - particularly Barcelo Bavaro Palace or Barcelo Bavaro Beach. I hope this review helps someone as I always rely on these honest reviews to help me make a decision on which resort to chose.

The pool was so amazing. Because the pool was the length of the resort it eliminated congestion.

Food was very good and lots of options. Check in was not very good as I messaged numerous times to make sure I got the pool access room. Once arrived they have me a 3rd floor room. Went back to check in and said it was not what I asked for. Gave me a hard time for awhile to finally give me the room I booked after lots of frustration and waiting. Not a great way to start the trip.
