“"Can't wait to go back",”
The hotel was great i have no complains.... Everybody id very helpful and yea they speak English...
“Not Impressed”
the hotel was good and the staff was very kindly and friendly but the food was not good , they repited the same type of food many times
“Better than we expected”
The hotel is large but this allowed for more activities. We weren't able to upgrade to adults-only but had a room right off the pool/beach area. Families tended to stay in "kid zones." The resort is what it's billed, 3.5 stars. Everything was clean, the staff works hard. For what we paid, we were very pleased. Our cleaning lady did a great job. (picked up, left chocolates, refilled our fridge, etc). We'd heard to bring pepto-bismal. We had no problems. The buffets were decent (we stuck with eating traditional Latin food) and the formal Spanish and Italian restaurants were excellent. The night entertainment is spectacular. We didn't make it to the disco-it looked similar to the Jersey shore and that wasn't what we wanted but it's there if you want to fist pump. We did enjoy the karaoke and sports bar. We never had problems getting chairs at the beach or pool. The pools and beach were clean. Hotel staff was constantly walking around picking up garbage. We did a couples' spa that was five stars. We also went on a stingray/shark tour. Our guides, entertainment, drinks and food were fantastic. It was perfect amount of time to snorkel then go to beach. Also, utilize the free activities. The hotel is massive and if you aren't by the beach, I'd try to upgrade. We always had $10 to tip (never used more daily). We had a great time. We'd go back to a Bahia Principe hotel. Also, try the Bahia Principe drink and if you haven't eaten passion fruit before, try it. My boyfriend is addicted.
“Excellent, a Must Go Hotel”
This was my first time traveling to Dominican Republic and was one of my best vacation experience. I made reservation to Gran Bahia Pricipe Bavaro, but they moved me to Gran Bahia Principe Ambar, that Hotel is Awsome!! The sevice and personnel attention is incredible, the room was extremly clean, the food and facilities are great. Its a huge area ask for a map that will help to moved within the different villas. Definitely go back, AA+++ The only thing I dont liked was that the casino and Disco they are smoking area, but not big deal for me, I prefered to stay outside.
“Loved it!!!”
Loved, loved, loved the hotel! It is HUGE, more like a little town than a hotel, it has its own streets and everything. It has a shuttle bus that goes around every 5-10 minutes, but honestly from one end to another it's about a mile so you can walk it easily (we never took a bus in 8 days, and we went from the very end to the beach and back 2-3 times every day). Buffet food was very good, but we didn't like a la carte too much. Went to Spanish (ok), than to Mikado Japanese and it took us 2 (TWO) hours to get food in there, we almost left after two hours when suddenly our food showed up! Decided to not even try any other a la cartes. Beach and pool were awesome, but we were quite surprised to find out that jacuzzi was not hot like we are used to, but barely warm. Loved the bars, snack bars, kayak rentals and everything else about the hotel!!! Wish we could have stayed longer than 8 days....
“Great Trip!!!”
Where to start, well we had a great trip. The weather was beautiful, the hotel and grounds were in great shape, the pool and bar areas were awesome, and the food was very good. Additionally, the staff, specifically the bar tenders were extremely friendly. There are a few things to know though at the time of booking. The first is that all of the Gran Bahia Principe resorts are connected, but there are areas, pools, and restaurants that are designated for specific levels or bracelet colors. Your bracelet color dictates which pools, bars, beach lounge areas, and restaurants you can patronize. Second, I would suggest as soon as you book your trip, call and make your lunch and dinner reservations. This was something that we were not aware of prior to our trip. If you forget to make your reservations, go into the customer care office and make them as soon as you get there. We were able to get reservations, but they were not at our first choice restaurants or at our preferred times. Third, the golf course was in great shape. If you are a golfer I would suggest making a tee time. Lastly, I know that it says all-inclusive, but a buck tip here and there for drinks and good service at the restaurants goes along way. It was really nice when I walked into the lobby bar, and the bartender greeted me with a smile, a good morning and a beer ahead of people that had been waiting. Overall it was a great trip and I can't wait to go back.
Hotel a recommender vivement.
“great beach!!”
this was my third time traveling to punta cana. this resort was my favorite. sometimes at resorts it can be boring, but this place had lots to do. very large resort but they provide trams and its actually quite nice. plenty of people working there ,so the service is good. the a/c in the rooms work and works nicely. and the best is that the beach is private and outside vendors to a minimum. unlike the Rui next door, which has no a/c in rooms and vendors galore!!
“Awesome Hotel! Awesome Experience!”
This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone wanting to visit Punta Cana. The Food was great-I loved the variety, the staff was always friendly and courteous, the rooms were impeccably clean and very comfortable…I couldn’t ask for more.
