This Punta Cana resort has its very own private beach. In addition to a full-service spa, Gran Bahia Principe Ambar - All Inclusive features an outdoor pool and a health club. Gran Bahia Principe Ambar - All Inclusive offers 528 air-conditioned accommodations with minibars and welcome amenities. Balconies open to beach, garden, or pool views. Pillowtop beds feature premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. Plasma televisions come with cable channels. Refrigerators and coffee/tea makers are provided. Bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers with jetted bathtubs, bathrobes, slippers, and makeup/shaving mirrors.
Rooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access. Business-friendly amenities include safes and direct-dial phones with voice mail. Additionally, rooms include complimentary bottled water and hair dryers. In-room massages and wake-up calls can be requested. A nightly turndown service is provided and housekeeping is offered daily.

“WOW! Absolutely Wonderful!!!”
Unbeleivably gorgeous and clean resort! The employees could not have been nicer, from the grounds keepers to the management! Entertainment staff (Amaurie) is hillarious!! Food was great!! Pools exceptional! Drinks were fabulous!! Ambar section is very layed back and quiet! If you want music and pool activities, just walk 3 mins to one of the other pools! Plenty of lounge chairs everywhere, No need to get up early to reserve!! Disregard any negative reviews!! This resort is sensational to say the least! Tip - If you are going to shop for souveneirs, walk the beach to the right! It's about a 40-45 min walk, but the deals you will get will make the walk all the more worth it! Many small huts filled with merchandise right on the beach and very safe!!

“Very Impressive!”
The hotel, amenities, grounds and workers were amazing. It was a wonderful vacation. We were mainly looking for adults only, but the Ambar was so much more. It had the perfect location right on the beach and was a complete resort in and of itself, but then there was the extra benefit of being able to enjoy the rest of the Gran Bahia Principe. Every part of the resort was clean and all the workers were friendly, attentive and really seemed to enjoy thier jobs. The food was above average with a great variety, but sometimes the quality was slightly off. There were various special drinks during the day and there was always a bar handy. We had no problem getting reservations at the a la carte restaurants we wanted and were only disappointed by the Mediterrean one (El Oliva). We thought that management was aware of the problem though, as it was the only restaurant that asked everyone to fill out a comment card. The rooms were large and spacious and the cleaning staff was inconspicous - always getting in and out while we were not there. We will definitely go back and will be bringing friends with us!

this resort is very good all the staff are frienly and they make sure that you as a guess are having a good ,time they give 100% to make your vacation plesant. this resort just need to improve there buffet the food is not that tasty but highly recomend Don Pablo restaurant .When you stay at ambar youb have acess to all the others resorts.If anyone decided to go to amber be sure to ask for the pillow menu and be sure to be on a upper lavel floor.

We had a great time at Gran Bahia Principe Ambar. This was our first trip to DR and we loved it. The resort was beautiful and the staff was wonderful! We enjoyed the food, the drinks, and again, the people. My only complaint was there were no non-smoking rooms and ours smelled of stale smoke. I hae gotten so accustomed to non-smoking spaces and rooms in the US, I was really turned off by this. But the trip was great! Next time, I'll try to find a non-smoking room.

Stayed at Tulum in Riviera Maya, Mexico so decided to try Ambar here in Punta Cana. Did not disappoint! Ambar was small and quiet and adults only which was perfect for us. Spectacular room , quiet clean beach. Food was amazing just as in Tulum. French restaurant was the best. It is truly great to see how well this place is cleaned. Every night hoses are out and grounds are swept. Lush and green and everyone smiling. We speak no Spanish but had no problem communicating what we wanted. Drinks are plentiful on the beach at the pool and when dining. Bahia Principe really knows how to run a resort well. Ambar best for couples, you have beach privacy and pool with no children. you can access other pools and beach if you want to. Paradise. Period.

My fiancee and I are marrying at another destination but will be surrounded by family and friends. We took this trip as our honeymoon. It was more than we expected. I have been to various all inclusive and this by far had the best food and drink! We ate at several of the restaurants and also found them to be quite delicious and the service was amazing. The only downside was their Don Pablo Gourmet restaurant, the service lacked in every which way and the food was just so so. I do believe we would have liked it better had the service been better but it was almost funny to watch as table by table either didn't get their order, had the wrong order (us included), or waited until they just left. We literally left Don Pablo and walked over to the buffet to have dinner. We were never disappointed with the service in the buffet or anywhere else. Even the night club was fun! We had a wonderful time and would love to return here! I normally like to try different hotels for the experience, but if I return, I think I would just book here again.
