“Great resort with room for improvement”

The staff at Dreams Palm Beach could not do enough to please you. Any problems we may have had were rectified immediately. This was our 4th year to Dreams. The first 3 at Dreams La Romana and the last at Dreams Palm Beach. There was a few things that could improve the quality of the resort. The first being the temperature of the pools. It was cool to the point where you could not stay in for any length of time. This was the same at La Romana and we were told it was because the pool heater was broken. But after 3 years one comes to the realization that there is no heater or they just choose not to warm the water. The second problem is that there was no quiet place at the resort. We were part of the Prefered Club and therefore had access to all areas. The is no place where there are no loud kids or beligerant adults. A quiet zone would be very relaxing. One thing the resort had no control over was the amount of seaweed and garbage washing up on shore. The resort tried to keep the beach clean but the adjoining nature reserve was covered with litter and seaweed making going for a walk difficult.

“Can't wait to go back”

I would like to recommend that the resort have an Indian cook who can cook food from all parts of India. This would work for Vegetarians. Also it would help for those who are not accustom to have Western food on a daily basis.

“it was wonderful”

we loved this hotel. the people that work here are fantastic. every one is super friendly. the food was really pretty good, the grill was excellent. we upgraded when we arrived, and loved the whirlpool tub for 2. it was so humid though, my bathing suit was still wet after hanging 3 days. had to let it dry out in the sun and wind. the bed sheets always felt wet too. was sick one day but it rained that day anyway, so spent it inside. and too many kids in the hottub. but the beaches were awesome. and as i said, the staff make this place a wonderful place to visit. i'm sure we would return to this hotel.

“A Little Piece of Heaven”

Stayed in Privilege room, service everywhere we went was in Spanish and English, all staff "ola"ed us with a smile and ended service with a "it's my pleasure". Beach good, pool side service great, free internet for privilege members, loved Portofino (Italian a la carte) & loved Seaside grill which had amazing steak salad and soup as well as grilled steaks & chicken! Explorer's Club was awesome! My kids (5,6,9) always wanted to go there. Varied activities (games, bungee, water splash time, internet, wii, etc..), safe & fun. Corezone great place to hang out and play air hockey and pool. The whole resort is impeccably manicured and we loved it!

“Beautiful resort!”

This is a great resort to go too. There was some hiccups in thier service such as giving us 2 double beds instead of king but overall it was a pleasant experience. The staff there is very friendly and hardworking. Staff members are always cleaning and maintaining the resort with a smile on thier face. There are many activities on the resort from spanish lessons, water games, aerobics, shows and movies on the beach at night. We would go there again in a heart beat.

“Awesome Hotel!”

Awesome hotel! Before I stayed at the hotel I was so worried because of the reviews. It made it difficult to even find the appropriate hotel. There was always good and bad reviews about all the hotels so I just went with the hotel that I thought was most suitable for our price range. Definitely beautiful place, great sand and very clear water. Nice pool though I did not visit it much since I was on many excursions. The food was way better than I imagined. Honestly, I do not go to all inclusives for the food but it was decent. I thought the food was way better than Cancun. Except the Asian restaurant, it was so bad but being Asian I am more critical about it. I also did not like the French or Italian, they were just normal. The Seaside Grill for dinner was really good and I always love the buffet, at any time! The service was awesome and I liked being in preferred club! Awesome service, perfect place. I loved everything about it. Except for the fact that I over ate and gained 7lbs in 5 days!

“Destination Wedding”

We went for a destination wedding, and was not dispappointed! It is a great choice for groups of friends, couples and families. Great beach , nice pools (although not heated), buffet and a la carte restaurants were all good. The wedding was beautiful! Tip in the buffet and you will get free-flowing coffee. Great lobby to gather in at the end of the day. Restaurants, bathrooms and bars were well-located. Got a great beachside 1-hour massage for $52 US (2 for 1 deal). Explorers Club was well-run and seemed like lots of fun.... if you're children will leave you, that is. We'd love to return to Dreams Palm Beach!

“Great Value - Beautiful place.”

Hotel is perfect for families - staff is amazing, food quite decent - superb value. Beach/pool beautiful and we like the smaller size of this hotel. Only complaint is that they need to purchase new pillows. The pillows are cheap and worn out - we noticed this last year and when we returned this year I was surprised they still had the same clumpy, uncomfortable pillows.

“Great Overall”

Great service, great infrastructure, good food! Hotel amenities are great; beach could be better...but this is not their fault I guess; I have been in other parts of Bavaro beach that were better.

“Best Staff Ever!”

The STAFF was the BEST. My two boys ages 9 and 12 had an incredible time as did my husband and I. We had a cold day and a rainy day and they had us entertained even then! Staff was always smiling, they went above the call of duty on more than one occasion. Boys had no problem finding things they liked to eat nor did we. There was so much to choose from. Food available 24/7! We were there Dec. 19 - Dec. 26th. The Christmas decor was lovely. Santa arrived BY HELICOPTER on the beach and had a gift for every child. Things like board games, remote control cars, dolls. The Entertainment staff went out of their way to acknowledge everyone in a polite, respectful and fun way. They kept us informed of what was happening around the resort that the kids and us would enjoy. We really miss them! The kids clubs were fantastic the staff was friendly and made me feel at ease to leave the boys with them. I am an overprotective mom so I checked on them the few times they were there and they were always having a great time. We met so many nice families there as well. Love the size of the hotel also. You are close to everything pool, beach, restaurants, lobby. If you forget something in your room it's no big deal to walk back. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay! My husband was not loving the idea about this type of family vacation but after the second day he thanked me for forcing him to come! He was so relaxed I believe he forgot he had a job which I thought was impossible!
