"Wonderful suites, excellent service and superb buffet breakfast and lunch. However dinner is limited to restaurants, and one of them is often closed, the Wok, the Italian restaurant is very small and limited to 4 people tables and always booked ahead so unusable. This results in the entire number of guests fighting for tables at the remaining 2 restaurants: blue Merlin and the Steak Restaurant. The Buffet is closed for dinner every day except Friday. This issue soured our view of the property. "

"service was excellent. food was bland but edible, we were able to find some nice food at the buffet. Tried the steakhouse and it was over 1.5 hour wait, over 2 including waiting for table. not my favorite decor but I knew that going in. Lots of things to do. The beach and pools were absolutely amazing and in great shape, we had the least seaweed of all of the miles of beach we walked. There was a long wait at check in and they did move us where we hadn’t wanted to be… but responded well to...

"Royal Bavaro is an awesome getaway for couples. However, don’t expect 5 star food. Out of all the options, the only “good” restaurant was Sorrento. Weather is beautiful, pools/beaches are great, as is the employees who always have a smile. "
