Hotel Villa Varadero is located in beautifully serene Nuevo Vallarta, which is on the Mexican west coast's Riviera Nayarit and only 20 minutes from the nightlife, cultural spots, and shopping of Puerto Vallarta.
All-inclusive family hotel with one of the best beaches in Nuevo Vallarta on the Riviera Nayarit, and a spectacular view of Banderas Bay.
The hotel has three buildings with three different types of rooms: Standard, Superior and One-Bedroom Suites. Most of our rooms have an ocean view. The hotel has two pools and one, heated pool for children. Our beach is one of the largest in the area and has been certified for its cleanliness.
The hotel has two restaurants: one near the beach and pools called La Palapa Drake's that serves buffet-style meals and snacks, the other is La Mesa del Capitan an indoor, air-conditioned, buffet-style restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pools and the beach. Our Bar Drake's is an outdoor bar located between the pools and the beach. “Very friendly with great service.”
This is my second time back to the hotel and liked it even more this time. New rooms and facilities were great yet the small hotel asmosphere remained. Didn't take the all inclusive route this time and just included breakfast (the best meal by the way). Not many places to eat nearby but a couple good ones within a short taxi ride. The beach is the best part.
“GREAT HOTEL, AUTHENTIC, CLEAN, & NEXT TO EDDIE'S BAR & GRILL”
Great place, clean, authentic, we loved it. We stayed with four couples and all had the same thoughts on this place" it was great" don't let the rating fool you. If you want to stay at the Hilton then this is not for you but for the price it was great!! All staff was great. I would recomend upgrading to ocean view and I would recomend NOT to do the all inclusive, we got the breakfast for free with the room and it was very good but from seeing what you got with the all inclusive, SAVE YOUR $$$. WE loved it and are planning to go back soon. The beach is great, very nice sand and they groom it every morning. PLEASE visit EDDIE'S BAR just about a block away for reasnably price drinks and food. I promise you with be happy.
“Good deal for the price”
This is the second time I stayed at this hotel, and the customer service has improved since last time. Staff was very friendly and better trained. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Most rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. The hotel's location is great (right on the beach). Of course, this is not a 5-star hotel. But for the price you are paying you get a very good deal. The breakfast buffet had better food than last time. But if you want some excellent food you can walk half a block towards the marina and eat at Eddies, where the food is great and the prices are reasonable.
“Great staff enjoying noisy guests”
We were there for just one night. Staff treated us very well. Went out of their way to be friendly. Mexican buffet breakfast was good. Two double beds instead of a single queen but new firm mattresses much better than the fancy resort we stayed in for two weeks. The Varadaro had a huge boombox and amplifier beside the pool attached to a little discman. Guests would would slip in their favourite disc for the rest of the world to hear at full volume. Sadly, this drove folks away from the pool area and the beach chairs were empty. But, because of the staff, we're rating it a 4 instead of a 3.
“Great Nueva Vallarta hotel”
Nice that is was on the beach, very kid friendly, nice staff. Food not cheap and not that good for the all inclusive. Not a lot of cheap food or shopping in Nueva Vallarta and a pain to take a taxi or bus to old vallarta.
“Outstanding value in a great area”
At a great time there. Just a perfect location and the hotel was much nicer than we expected. Very laid back and excellent service. great walking beach and being beside the marina was a plus. It was easy walking distance to Vallarta Adventures which was a great tour company to work with. We did the 3 for two tour special and looked it. The only negatives to Villas Varadoro would be the awlful pillows. It was like sleeping o a bag of rocks. Worse pillows ever!!! Bed was hard but ok. We did the AI and drinks were very easy to get and decent to good. The food varied. Breakfast was always great. Lunch was generally more than adequate but some nights dinner was pretty bad> Italian night was inedible. It was odd that the food was notibly better at lunch. The grilled fish at lunch was great but it was never offered at dinner. The soups were always good as were the salads and baked goods. I am not sure we would do the AI again but we will definitely return to the Villa Vardoro.
“Villa Veradero”
We've been to Villa Veradero about 5 times in the past 10 years. Does that tell you anything?? The same front desk staff welcomes us now as they did the first visit--only now they are a bit older, as are we. They are great--and helpful. We look out our window and see the beach at our feet (almost). This year dolphins performed (as did a crocodile). Each year we have seen whales in the area. The beach and swimmers seem well protected by lifeguards. The cost is very reasonable and we have learned of the many great eating venues in the area. Riding the regular worker buses is no problem and the "locals" are most helpful to us non Spanish speaking visitors. We particularly enjoy the activity of the many and varied vessels in the waters near us. In the distance large cruise ships can be seen while much closer, fishing boats, pleasure and sail boats entertain us. When we arrive we open our windows and they are never closed. We are virually guaranteed sunshine every day. We have never been dissapointed. judy and don
“Would definately go back”
Clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and very accomidating. The setting was perfect. It was away from the busyness of dowtown on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. Yet downtown was within a 25 minute bus ride. My only complaint is that the mattresses were very hard. But I would definately stay here again.
“Great staff and nice location”
The staff was great and hotelwas very clean. The breakfast was good but, the other meals were not so good. The bar is now closed in the hotel. . Beautiful beach, and large hotel rooms. Great location as the city bus stops right in front of the hotel. Small hotel feeling and the staff remembers you.
“Am already going back”
I really enjoyed my stay . The staff was very courteous and helpful. My room was great with a wonderful ocean view and very comfortable accomodations. The food was good and they have internet access. The beach is great! All in all a great trip and I have already booked another stay!
