“WOW is all I can say!”
Words cannot express my satisfaction with this hotel. From the moment we passed through the driveway everything was first class service. Private butlers Ivan and Efrem were a delight and took care of our every need. We did not do an all inclusive but did try both restaurants and were very pleased. In fact in Luciano's we had the Mexican night dinner ( the theme shifts throughout the week) and quite franklyI was blown away by my dinner. I would rank it in my top 20 meals I've every had. The room was impeccable every day. Thalia our maid gifted us with a differing towel decoration every day. The room was expansive and no shortcuts were taken. The pillow menu is available and you can change your pillows every day. The pools were fantastic with excellent service again. The views are beautiful and the deck was huge with two chase lounge chairs and a table with 4 chairs. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. We have stayed in PV many time and by far this is the best place we have stayed. We will be coming back. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying service and the last night "treat" that is prepared for you. You will not be disappointed!
“Loved the hotel”
Just returned from our 5-day trip to Puerto Vallarta (2 families, total 4 adults, four kids). The hotel is wonderful, brand new, and right on the ocean. We had booked two suites, both 1 bedroom, 1500 sqft with kitchen, two bathrooms, balcony, etc. Very nice rooms, great ocean view. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel every day. the food was awesome every time. They mostly served mexican or italian menu. Both their menus were excellent. Every one was willing to help. Their kids club worked out great for us. Kids spent a lot of time there, and it was easy for us adults to sit in the restaurant with the kids center nearby, so we could watch over the kids. We spent a lot of time swimming. They have multiple pools, mostly 4ft deep, and one pool that is about 2ft deep for the smaller ones. We would have enjoyed the vacation more if we knew spanish and could mix better with the hotel staff and the local crowd. Taxi stand and bus stops are right outside the hotel. A nice massage place (shaddai) is also right outside the hotel, and much cheaper than the hotel spa. Good massage. I wished the hotel had some activities to keep their guests more entertained. The hotel is medium size, not one of the sprawling huge resorts. The beach is small, so if you like big beaches, you may be disappointed.
“Great hotel with wonderful staff.”
Wonderful and helpful staff in a new beach resort. We had a one-bedroom suite which was terrific with the exception of lacking a comfortable sofa. We were booked for the all-inclusive plan, and it truly was all inclusive. There were two restaurants on the premises, but only one was open most of the time. Again, the staff was wonderful, but the menu was quite limited, and got rather boring after the first couple of days. The hotel had multiple pools, including an adult-only pool. Neither the pools nor the jacuzzis were ever crowded and there were always chaises available to enjoy the sun. This is definitely a place that I would enjoy visiting again, but would probably not choose the all-inclusive plan unless additional food options were added.

“Sunset Plaza Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta”
Can't say enough good things about this hotel.From the staff to the food to the cleanliness etc. Stayed in a 1500 sq. ft. suite for less than a regular room.We knew that there might be a push to attend a time share presentation, and there was when we got to the resort. But it was very low pressure and we politely told them we were not interested. They didn't push it and we got to stay in a huge beautiful suite.If we go back to Puerto Vallarta, we will stay there.The resort is only a year old, and they are always cleaning and maintaining the grounds. Exellent!

“Better than advertised!”
Hotel was gorgeous. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Sunset is more beautiful both inside and out than advertised. We definitely recommend the upgraded room=worth it! Location is suited well between the Marina Terminal (for excursions) and the Boardwalk Downtown. Felt very safe and welcomed by all of the PV community.
“Great Holiday”
This was our second All Inclusive trip to Mexico out of four trips and found the Sunset to exceed all my expectations. The a la carte menu was a great change from buffet slop most others serve and the drinks were fantastic - no corners cut there. Shopping was close by, as is the airport, the Malecon and some good taco stands if you want a night out. We would definately go back.
