“Nice Hotel, Great Family Atmoshpere”

Definitely not a 5 star hotel but well worth the price. Staff was very helpful and courteous, food was decent, the room was clean and kept at a comfortable temperature all day long. Great resort for family with kids. Would definitely return

“I would definitely return to this hotel”

I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Family-friendly, couple-friendly and also single-friendly. Staff was really nice and very attentive. Great beach, great pool(s), alot of activities for people to participate in, nice night-time shows for guests. All-inclusive menu was good. My only suggestion is that a couple more "menu themes" be added for the guests that are staying for longer than 2 to 3 days. But overall, the food was very good. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this hotel.

“Perfect honeymoon”

We had an awesome time at the Samba Vallarta. The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff is very friendly and the drinks are strong and always full!! The hotel is also right on the beach so you can hear the waves from your room. We also liked the fact that this hotel was small compared to some of the other resorts on the strip; it gave it a very personable feeling. Most of the staff knew us by name. The only small complaint we had was that the menu wasn't very varied and the quality of food wasn't as we'd hoped. But as we figured, we didn't go there to eat. On the other hand, the quality of the drinks is great! We would recommend the Samba to anyone who is looking for a laid back beach vacation in a great location and with a friendly hotel staff. If you go say hi to Pablo for us! One last thing: even though tipping is included, please know that these people make very little money so if you get good service please let them know they're appreciated by giving them a little extra.

“A good vacation”

Just got back from Samba, where my fiance and I stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. The staff was excellent- very courteous and helpful. Our room was in good shape and was cleaned notably well each day. The beach and pool were both lovely- we gravitated towards the beach for the most part as it is much quieter than the poolside area. There are many vendors on the beach, but most will leave you be quickly if you decline firmly. There were a couple of guys who just wouldn't take no for an answer and drove me a bit crazy- but such is life. The food at the buffet was generally much better than I expected. The one culinary disapointment was the Italian restaurant which was just plain awful. It was kind of a joke. But, it really didn't put us out as our expectations were low. Apparently, a lot of people enjoy the kind of entertainment they have at Samba. The staff put a lot of energy into the performances- but I found the whole thing to be horribly cheesy. But then, I can't really say what I would have enjoyed that much more. We just stuck to taking walks on the beach and having drinks at the bar. I did enjoy the smaller feel of Samba (I have stayed in larger resorts in the area before) and would consider returning. Specific criticisms aside, we had a really good vacation filled with lots of relaxation at an excellent price. You should have a great time if you choose to stay at Samba.

“Great Hotel, Recommend to others.”

The ambiance was very nice and the hotel was well kept up. The room was spacious with a great balcony and great view (this was just a standard room too). We did not find the bed to be hard as other travelers mentioned and I typically like soft beds too. I was particularly impressed with the service, they were very nice and outgoing. The food was hit or miss, it wasn't the greatest, but I didn't think about going out to other restaurants either. It was fine. Unlike other all-inclusives I've been to, they change the menu at almost every meal and you won't get bored of the food as a result. The most dissapointing thing was that their "fruit mix" for their cocktails was frozen fake stuff. There's nothing like real fruit drinks... But I definately recommend this resort. It's a great value!

“Best trip ever”

Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating, the pool and beach were both beautiful and not too crowded. Didn't like the food at all but the drinks were endless and free - so it made up for it. Come prepared with snacks from home and be ready to go out to eat most nights.

“A Great Place to Stay in Puerto Vallarta”

Our family of 5 stayed at the Samba in early August 2006. We loved this hotel!!! Our kids are ages 18, 14 & 6 and there is something for everyone. Our rooms were clean and the view is gorgeous. We loved having a choice of the beautiful pool or the beach. The beach is perfect. We loved the "all inclusive" food (especially our 14 year old son). We could borrow boogie boards, and kayaks as part of the all inclusive price. We will definitely go back!!!

“Wonderful vacation!”

My children and I spent 9 days in Samba. We had a wonderful time. The service was excellent. Everyone works very hard to give the best service. Make sure you tip the waiters and they will be waiting on you through your whole stay. The food is good, it is not 1st class but good. They offer a variety of dishes but count on having traditional home made buritos, tacos, guacamole, and salsa every night. There is other food too but if you go to Mexico, mind as well eat Mexican food. This is not a romantic place for couples, but there were lots of couples with or without children and everyone seemed to have a blast. I am sure we will return there again.
