“Can't Wait to go back =)”
In a great location for day and night activities.
“Great place to stay”
This is a great hotel. It's not huge like some of the bigger resorts. The location is great for walking around downtown there are tons of great shops bars and restaurants in walking distance. The pool and beach are great. The place is clean, the service is great the only thing I can think of negative is the room is kind of small but so what, it had a lovely balcony with a view of the ocean and I didn't spend alot of time in the room anyway except to sleep and take a shower.
“Can't wait to go back.”
I stayed at Playa Los Arcos for 2 nights, to break my journey from western Canada to Manzanillo. I was impressed by the beauty, the service, the food, and the feeling of safety (my first trip to Mexico, and solo). There was street noise in my room, but as far as I was concerned, that was just part of the atmosphere.
“We have been to this hotel 4 times and would go back again”
We love the location of this hotel in Old Town and on the beach. We also like the clientele that this hotel seems to attract--more down to earth than some of the other hotels in the Hotel Zone. In the 7 years that we have been going to PV, the charm is disappearing somewhat as they build, build, build. But the Old Town area still has some of the old businesses and restaurants that we love. At the hotel the employees are very helpful and personable. If you stay there more than a couple of times, they treat you particularly well since there is a good continuity in their staff. We see the same employees year after year. We feel very well taken care of at this hotel.
“Would definitely go back.”
My friend and I loved this place, particularly for the hotel's location. There are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood, the hotel is right on the beach and it was only a ten minute walk from the bars/clubs. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and fairly comfortable. The only complaint that I have is that the bed was too stiff/hard (for my taste). I would also suggest trying to get a room that doesn’t face the main street in front of the hotel as you can hear EVERYTHING. However, overall we had a great experience and will definitely return.
“Another great time in P.V.”
Staff is most friendly and attentive, service was excellent. I have stayed at this hotel for the past 6 or 7 years because of it easy access to downtown area, loads of excellent restaurants, good beach and of course the staff is just great. After all these years (25) to P.V. I still feel very safe at any time of day or night. If you want posh, forget it, its just plain down to earth and a great place to get in you r&r. I'm making my second trip of the winter in Feb see you there!
“Great location & staff”
We asked for a room change ( arrived late ) & it was immediate! Staff parked & retrieved our car without charge & with a smile! Spa was resonable & we were VERY satisfied with our massages-we booked additionals. The location could not have been better. This was our second time at this hotel & , should we return to Puerto Vallerta, this is where we would stay!
“Nice Little Place”
Had a great stay here. The room was small but neat and clean. The area is fun and exciting. Great food to be had all around.
“Perfect location”
If you're looking for a 5-star luxury hotel, you're not going to find it in this area of PV. But you will find plenty of authentic restaurants in easy walking distance, a short stroll to the Malecon in downtown, and the unique charm of PV. Besides the ideal location, the hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room size is standard, but you're on a beach in Mexico so you won't be spending much time in your room anyway. As far as food goes, the breakfast buffet is great and if you want to dine off site, there are plenty of places along the beach and in the surrounding area to do so.
“Already planning my next trip...”
This was my first trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and my expectations were very high. I read some not-so-good reviews on Playa Los Arcos before I went but I decided to go for it anyways. I'm so glad that I did! It was smaller and "family style" so after our first day, the staff already knew us! Their recognition of us made me feel very at-home, and their suggestions were amazing! We decided to go with their "all-inclusive" package and it already paid for itself within the first 2 hours we were there. The restaurant was wonderful (see their free dinner shows!, the rooms (with our private balcony overlooking the pool and ocean) were so beautiful, and their private beach entrance made our stay exactly what we were looking for! Oh, and I must add, the location couldn't have been better! Thank you Playa Los Arcos-we will definitely be back ASAP!
