“Great time in Nuevo Vallarta!”
Enjoyed it very much. Had a great oceanview room with a great price from Expedia at Christmas time. Lots to do in the area with new restaurants opening all of the time. Stop by Nopal Beach and say hi to owner Eddie for a great meal with great prices.
“Relaxing Gem of a Hotel”
We had a week booked at the Grand Mayan that started on a Friday, but we found that through Expedia it was less expensive to fly on Wednesday AND stay at the Sea Garden for 2 nights than it was to just fly on Friday, so why not? The Sea Garden is a wonderful gem. Not too big, and not too small. It was quiet and very relaxing. The pool area is nicely landscaped, very clean, and is big enough to be interesting but not crowded. The beach here is very clean and well kept as well We had a 5th floor 1 bedroom suite overlooking the ocean and pool. Fabulous view! The Living area has patio doors that open wide and include 2 sofas with a single mattress stowed underneeth, which is perfect for kids and teens. The kitchinette was well equipped. Perfect for simple meals or snacks. Yes, as others have said, the mattress was very firm, but to me not a big deal. The rooms are very clean and the hotel public spaces and grounds are kept immaculate. There is not a whole lot nearby, except for a couple of restaurants. There are no clubs or nightlife nearby (20 minute cab to Pueto Vallarta), so if that is the scene your looking for, maybe not the best location. It is however a short walk to Vallarta Adventures, which I highly recommend for activities and tours. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Maybe it was the room with a view, but we enjoyed the Sea Garden more than the "fancier" (and enormous) Grand Mayan!
“We only go back there!! Incredible!!”
Rooms were extremely clean. We stayed in a suite and it was very roomy, king sized master bedroom bed. Roll out bottoms in livingroom under couches - Kids said were very comfortable. Dining was very good, although only one restaurant. Pools and area we also very well taken care of. All staff we totally awesome, you would never find more friendly people. 15 Stars!!!!
“Would go back in a heartbeat!”
We stayed at this hotel with friends that are timeshare owners. We booked our own room for 3 nights while they were there a week. We did not go all inclusive so cannot comment on food, but our room was modern, and very clean. The pool was heated so we were in it a lot. The beach is huge with lots of loungers and chairs. There are a lot of new buildings surrounding Sea Garden/Ocean Breeze Hotel now and starting to be more developed. You can go for a brisk 35 minute walk to Paradise Village where there is a shopping mall and food court. The resort does not offer free internet usage, so we went to the mall where they had free wifi there when we wanted to use the internet. A very enjoyable stay and we would go back in a heartbeat!

“Happy Birthday vacation”
From the moment we arrived at the hotel till the time we had to leave we had a great time. All of the staff from the check in desk, to the resturaunt staff to the housekeeping staff, all had a smile and a Hola, ready for us. The hotel was very clean and the food was very good. We loved that the beach was so close,The pool was very clean and heated! It was just a very nice relaxing place to stay and we are hoping to return there sometime soon.
“Very nice experience”
Liked the smaller footprint of the resort making the pool and beach easily accessible. Food in the restaurant was good and not too high priced. Rooms, appliances and bed need updating but not distracting. The Mayan resort complex on which this is located is a first class operation. Never felt unsafe. Very good value and will definitely go back again.

“Very nice visit”
Attentitive and hardworking employees helped make this a pleasant experience. My wife and I went with another couple and although we had access to all other Mayan resorts (we have friends who stay at the Lux), we found ourselves quite happy with hanging out at this one quite often. I will agree with others who've commented on 'stiff' pillows (could be softer) and of no coffee pot in the room (although we called room service/they were there in a flash). It's true that there is a charge for using your room safe but we just used one of the safes at the front desk (no charge). It takes two keys to open it (you get one/they keep the other) and you can access it anytime (no problem here). Want to say hi to Omar the pool bartender (great drinks/try his 'Chameleon or his Dirty Monkey') and Himee the pool waiter as well as all the others. Thanks guys, great job!
