“Best Ever”

Throughly enjoyed the experience. Had the best room overlooking the ocean. Very kid friendly. Not very crowded. The food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will go back. Remember to bring tips

The hotel was clean, the service was awesome, a minor problem with the bed, which they fixed instantly. Enjoyed my stay .

We love this hotel. The food is good, the wait staff are so friendly, and the rooms are clean and well equipped. Wheather you want to relax or fill every minute with activity this is a good place to stay. We will definitely come back next year.

“Amazing Hotel, Great Pool, Charming Beach”

A lot of research went into our decision to stay at the Melia. We went through tons of online reviews and overwhelmingly, it seemed that the Melia was definitely the best choice for the price range we were looking at. The biggest complaint that we heard about the Melia were from visitors that were unhappy because they were taken in by the time-share pushers at the hotel that wasted hours of their vacation time. I initially scoffed (having been approached in the past by time-share folks & being able to successfully shake them off.) But I will admit, the only negative thing I can say about the Melia (& since my husband did a lot of research, we avoided this pitfall) was that the Melia's front desk passes you off to the time-share folks as a hospitality host that will show you around the hotel. I was pleased to have the personalized grand tour (not realizing that I was about to get hooked into an hours-long session to pressure me into buying a time share) My husband did however & had to be firm, up to the point of almost being rude to get us out of the "tour". Other than that, the Melia was amazing. We ate at three of the restaurants & were very happy with all the choices and quality of food. The pool was to die for, with plenty of lounging areas & the beach just down the stairs from it. The rooms were beautiful & clean. They had shows every night that were a blast! And last, but not least, we received excellent service from all the staff. We'll definitely be returning!

Second stay at a Melia. Didn't dissapoint. Grounds imaculate, extremely clean, great service. Expedia travel desk had very knowledegable and helpful staff. Wait staff some of the best. Would stay here again.

A hotel that has everything right there! My family begged to stay a couple more days! Quick walk to Marina and short taxi drive to anywhere in city! Were treated as royalty and everyone is so nice! Food was very good, very healthy options. Everything was very clean. We will, no doubt, go back someday. I do recall some of the other reviews and do not agree with them. I was very pleased and I am sure you will also be satisfied with this resort.

“Still a winner”

A favorite place to stay after 3 visits. Spacious grounds and excellent location in the Marina. Our room was excellent with excellent ocean view. Breakfasts are superb and lunches in the grand palapa overlooking the Bay of Banderas were favorite memories. Waiters have been there for years and offer excellent and enthusiastic service. We loved the free drinks and attentive staff. The pillows were a little lumpy and could use some updating. The room was spotless. We had free WiFi in the lobby. We shall return and look forward to future visits. Very much recommended.

Overall my stay at the Melia was fantastic. The main thing we did on our vacation was relax by the pool. It was clean and refreshing. It was also pretty big which was nice so it didn't seem too crowded. The swim up bar was also great and had a variety of delicious drinks. During the day in the pool there was activities which were fun to participate in such as water polo. The activities did not stop there though. Each night there was a show put on by the activities staff which was very well done. I was also impressed with the variety of places to go and eat within the resort. The breakfast buffett was very good with omelettes,pancakes, and french toast daily. Plus a wide variety of other foods. The places that were open later in the day were also fantastic. We tried each of the restaurants at least once, and often went back multiple times since we enjoyed them all so much. The only small complaint that I have about the resort was that the beach wasn't very nice. It was quite small and full of people bothering you to buy things everywhere you went down there. I would definitely go back to this resort in the future. We had a great time at the resort and the staff was very helpful with anything we needed.

“Great place, would recommend in a hearbeat!”

The place was more than worth the money. It was superior to what we expected. Location is convenient as righ outside the hotel you can take a public bus to go to downtown (30 mins way). Customer service was superb. December was the perfect time of the year to go as weather could not have been better: not too hot, not too cold. The celebration on New Year's Eve was fantastic! The buffet variety is the best I've seen ever and the quality was good too.
