Beautiful roof top pool, and patio. Looks like there is a bar room you can rent on the roof. The best location for night life and dining. Half a block to the beach. Sunsets at night on the patio. Rooms clean and spacious. Beds were very comfy and pillows! If you want a fridge in your room, you need a suite or an upgraded room. Love this hotel. Would come back with friends and family. Elevator for every floor

Pros: Beach is one block away. Rooftop has a pool and a beautiful view of the beach. Relatively quiet. Cons: The hotel does not provide beach towels. Wi-Fi reception very weak in the room. It was ok in common areas and outside the room.

Great location for walking to many shops, markets, restaurants, bars and beaches. There is a lovely park across the street. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are helpful and efficient. The area can be quite noisy at night. We stayed in a suite on the back side which was a little more quiet. Earplugs provided better sleep. The rooftop area with pool is great!

Excellent location! Older hotel but clean. We had a suite (#22) and asked for a quiet location. Glad we did as will be noisy in some rooms. Staff were great. Rooftop pool and deck are amazing!

Great Location. Bad housekeeping. We arrieved late the previous night and got knock by the door at 8am to be reminded to check out... 11am is the check out time, and we had a DND sign by the door. Instead of extending few more days, we moved to the otherside, cheaper and closer to Mandela..

We didn’t get the room we booked. Not friendly at all Location was perfect for us close to everything in zona romantica. Since we liked the location we thought about booking here for last 2 nights the room we actually wanted originally with the balcony overlooking the park They said even if we book they still might give the room away !!!! What ?!?!? I don’t think the concept of reservation exist in that hotel

I will never stay in this place again. The man at the front desk was rude and dismissive. The room smelled bad. The room was tiny. The bathroom had no fan. They only bring you shampoo and toilet paper if you go down and ask for it. The price was too high for such a run-down place.

The location is good - close to the Malecon, good restaurants, and a great café called A Page in the Sun. The front desk crew was very rude during check-in and they refused to acknowledge us when we went down to the desk for assistance. Our room was a studio. It was: tiny, no fan in bathroom, the lighting was terrible, NO view, no lamps, only one wash cloth, a goopy liquid in a bowl next to the sink (not sure what it was. Maybe dish soap.) We didn't use it, nor did we use the hot plate or mismatched cheap silverware and dishes. The tiny little refrigerator had no door on the freezer compartment and it was iced over. The bed was not comfortable. The pillows on the bed were great. Hey, there was something to like after all. This hotel may have some rooms that have been updated and are nicer than the one we had, I don't know. But I still would not stay there again due to the rudeness of the guy at the front desk.

We reserved & paid extra for a room with a king bed. When we arrived they said there were no rooms with king beds despite the fact we paid extra for one. No adjustment was made to our room charge to accommodate for that. The hot water was questionable. We never knew whether we would have a hot shower or not. We were provided 2 bath towels and only one wash cloth daily - no hand towels. That was rather disappointing. Location was perfect and the staff did clean our room daily. But I would rate the accommodations as average. It was disappointing to not get what we had paid for.

If you plan to sleep, find another hotel. The bars under this hotel blast music late into the night. Hotel is very noisy. This hotel while very clean and morning staff very friendly (evening staff not so much) the hotel room had nothing, just a basic room. There were a total of 3 outlets, 2 in room and 1 in bath. The staff never left an extra roll of TP and when we went to check out a hair dryer, there were 2 so you were to return them in 10 minutes. The best thing about hotel is close proximity to everything, you can walk everywhere.

I loved the location. Everything I wanted to do was very close in walking distance. The only thing I would recommend is putting a lip on the shower enclosure so the bathroom wouldn't flood and require me to put down a towel to keep it from flooding the room.

There are no amenities other than free WiFi and a pool. There’s no hotel ice, no fridge, no table and chairs in the room for work. The guy at the front desk is unfriendly. You’re required to wear a scratchy plastic wristband during your entire stay. The room decor is dark and dated. The A/C did not work properly. The bathroom sink constantly leaked water. The only major plus is the great location. Not going back.

When it says this is a 2 star hotel, it's accurate. We were there as a group and had 6 rooms in this hotel and each one was lacking. If you're on the street side, its noisy, if youre on the interior your room is never dark due to poor curtains and bright lights. Batroom was smelly and closet sliding door broken. The location is great for getting around the area and the rooftop pool is lovely, but that's about it. If you know it's 2 star and you're okay with that you may be okay.

The hotel is very basic and quite old. However the rooms are as clean as can be expected. The staff at the hotel are excellent from front desk to room cleaning. Hotel is in a great area right in the middle of the Romantic Zone close to everything and a half block from the beach. Having stayed here we would not stay again given a choice but that is only because there are newer hotels with more up to date facilities available.

Overall, our stay was very good. The location is excellent, right in the heart of La Zona Romántica. The only negative was the small size of the room and they were a bit stingy with towels. We had to use our bath towels at the pool. Also they have a sign in the rooms warning you to take inventory of kitchen items because if any are missing they will charge you. Price list included. But those are minor complaints in an otherwise very comfortable stay.

We stayed in a standard room. The staff was nice.There was no view at all, and we could not open the window. The AC unit in our first room was leaking water, so they moved us down the hall to another room. We had to ask for hand towels and extra toilet paper, but the staff was happy to provide. The swimming pools are tiny - only 3 ft deep - really just ornamental. The best thing by far is the location - right in the heart of Zona Romantica, close to the beach and all the great restaraunts and shops. The shower drain was very slow and hot water went out for a while during our stay. WiFi was unusable. I would only recommend this place to folks who just need a place to crash and don't really need to spend much time in their room. But there are few good options in the area at this price.

Love the fact this hotel is right smack in the middle of the Zona Romantica, the Malecon and downtown. The hotel is average at best and great for travelers who want to explore and be out and about. The cleaning staff is really nice and never had a problem. It is an old hotel, but it is kept fairly well. The air conditioning is great. Maybe too cold for a December visit. This is my second stay in at this property and I wouldn't mind staying there again. Mind you, this is not a resort with an endless pool or anything close to that. It is a hotel that is in the perfect location to restaurants, Pharmacies, beach, taxis and night life. A great place to stay for the budget conscience. I will be staying there again soon!!
